My name is Annarita, and I’m a Cesarina from Bari—a city where cooking is a true daily ritual, made of simplicity, familiar aromas, and flavors that tell the story of who we are.I love preparing traditional dishes from Bari and the Puglia region—recipes that speak of family, sharing, and the rhythm of the seasons.I use simple, local ingredients, carefully selected, because for me, cooking is above all an expression of love for my land.Welcoming people to my table and making them feel at home is one of the things that brings me the most joy.Through my cooking, I want to offer an authentic experience, filled with genuine flavors and traditions passed down from generation to generation.

My wife and I had a lovely time learning how to make gnocchi with Annarita. We were fortunate enough to have the experience with her daughter and mother present as well. It was a pleasant evening that felt like having a family meal in Bari. Annarita was a very gracious host who made sure we understood each instruction she gave us. She gave us further ideas of what all we could do with the pasta we were making as well as variations of the sauces that would go well with it. We were also treated to several different appetizers, a local wine, and a traditional lemoncello shot and coffee liqueur shot. We also had a tight schedule that Annarita accommodated to help ensure we made it on time to our ferry. We greatly enjoyed our evening and would be delighted to visit again.

I highly recommend this if you are looking for an authentic local experience with traditional Barese recipes. Annarita cooked multiple courses of delicious food in her home kitchen for us to eat on her terrace. As a bonus, her mother and adult daughters joined us, offering an opportunity to eat with three generations at the same table. The casual conversation and friendly family banter made it feel like we were eating with our own family. Explanations were provided with each dish, of which were carefully selected as ones we could replicate when we return home. We learned so much and felt like a part of the family.
