    We had such a wonderful experience with Paola, this was one of my family’s favorite activities on our trip! Paola and Massimo were so welcoming and generous. She welcomed us with homemade lemonade, and we started out with making dessert, then worked on the pasta. We had 7 people in our group and everyone was able to participate. They offered coffee, cheese, salami and bread while we were cooking. Once the cooking was complete we were treated to a lunch featuring our hard work on the beautiful terrace. It was good company and great food. Paola even made a separate red sauce for my children because they like that better than the pesto sauce. Many of the ingredients were fresh from her garden! We felt like we had an authentic experience and can’t wait to try the recipes again. I would very highly recommend Cooking with Paola to anyone visiting the La Spezia area!

    We highly recommend Paola’s cooking class! Paola and Massimo were very kind, patient and accommodating, the class was so fun and all the food was delicious! Their house is beautiful and it was a great experience. They were very generous and showed us many different delicacies such as meat, cheese and wine. We got lost on the way and they helped pick us up and drop us off at the station which was lovely.

    An exemplary cooking class with marvelous, kind, and wonderful hosts! Paola is a patient teacher with her students, carefully showing each step before letting me try for myself and explaining each step. It was also wonderful to share a meal with them after the class so we could enjoy what we made. In addition, they very kindly helped direct me both to their house and back to my accommodation -- if you're coming from the historical area of La Spezia by bus, take the 18, not the 21!!! In short, I recommend this course for an enriching and powerful experience. If I could, Paola and Massimo, I would give you 100 stars. Thank you!

    EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Paola and her wonderful family welcomed us warmly and made us part of their family for the evening. We prepared our meal and then sat together to enjoy it in the outdoor dining area, chatting about our lives.     San Venerio, un pequeño pueblo en las colinas de La Spezia, situado en una ubicación privilegiada por su clima y sus vistas al golfo y a las islas del archipiélago toscano. En este rincón del paraíso degustamos las delicias preparadas por Paola, nuestra Cesarina, con el sabor típico de Liguria. La cocina ligur tiene una tradición muy antigua que refleja las características peculiares de su territorio. El estrecho contacto con el mar y las montañas crea una combinación perfecta de platos de tierra y marisco. Eso es lo que podemos encontrar en la mesa de Paola: un repertorio gastronómico muy variado, en el que no solo varía el origen de las materias primas, sino también la tradición de la que proceden los platos.
