Komm zu mir nach Hause und lass dich von den unverwechselbaren Düften Siziliens verzaubern! Ich bin Cesarina Fernanda und zusammen werden wir eine Caponata aus Auberginen zubereiten. Mit ihrem intensiven Duft und ihrem süß-sauren Geschmack vereint die Caponata alle Aromen des sizilianischen Sommers in einem einzigen Gericht: Auberginen, Tomaten, Zwiebeln, Basilikum und andere Zutaten, die dir ein außergewöhnliches Geschmackserlebnis bescheren werden. Nachdem wir die Caponata aus Palermo probiert haben, führt uns unsere kulinarische Reise nach Trapani mit den Busiate, der berühmten hausgemachten Pasta, und dann nach Catania mit dem Rezept für die Sugo alla Norma. Wir beenden das Essen mit den Düften von Zimt, Ricotta und Orangenschalen in einer duftenden Tarte, die euch unvergesslich bleiben wird.

- We had an amazing time cooking with Fernanda and her family! They welcomed us so warmly, and everything felt truly authentic. We learned to make classic Sicilian dishes, enjoyed great food, and shared a lovely meal together. A wonderful and genuine experience — highly recommended!
- A highlight of our trip! Fernanda and her daughter were the best hosts, we felt so welcomed from the moment we started. Both were very patient and explained thoroughly the processes also sharing their knowledge and answering our questions. We finished with eating our products with the family over conversation. Such a great experience to truly understand Sicily and the local cuisine. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again when in Sicily next!

From the moment we arrived, Fernanda and her wonderful family welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like part of their own. The entire experience was beyond what we expected. We learned how to make several types of pasta, including tortellini, gnocchi, and ravioli with delicious homemade fillings. Fernanda and her sister also shared insights into Sicilian culinary traditions that made us appreciate the culture even more. There was plenty of laughter, amazing food (we ate until we were stuffed!), wine flowing freely, and a sense of warmth and joy that’s hard to put into words. By the end, it felt like we were leaving a family dinner, not a cooking class. If you’re in Catania and want an experience that feels truly personal and local, this is it. Thank you for one of our favorite memories of the trip!

Fernanda, along with her sister and daughter, guided us through the process of making fresh, authentic Italian pasta from scratch.
