    We are Maria Elena and Nicola, and our passion for hospitality drives us to welcome our guests into our home, where we serve traditional dishes from the La Spezia region.

    We’ll guide you through the preparation of dishes that reflect the recipes of past generations: Nicola draws inspiration from his grandparents, who used to run an old-fashioned La Spezia tavern. We’ll start with a welcome aperitif by the pool, followed by an appetiser, and then we’ll move to the table under the patio in our garden. We’ll prepare fried courgette flowers, crostini with Monterosso anchovies in oil, potato gnocchi with pesto right in front of you, mixed vegetables from the garden stuffed in the Ligurian style and, to finish, the classic tiramisu is a must. We look forward to seeing you!

    This was one of our very favorite experiences on our recent vacation in Italy. We are a family of 5 (children are 16, 13, and 9) and we all loved the food, the setting, the hospitality, and conversation. Maria Elena and her husband were the best hosts. We loved sitting in their outdoor kitchen and learning about their culture. Maria Elena is an excellent cook. Our kids devoured her anchovies, fried squash blossoms, and homemade pasta. I have already recommended this experience to several friends.

    I'm Cesarina Maria Elena, and together with my husband Nicola and our son Pietro, we run a home restaurant in our countryside house just a few kilometers from the city. My passion for cooking started as a child when my friends and I would cook desserts such as meringues and jam tarts to enjoy at picnic-style snack times. I began this venture to fully appreciate our home, our traditions, and our great love for our land and hospitality.
