Barbara

Barbara welcomes us in Montepulciano Station, a historic village nestled on the hills in the province of Siena, near the characteristic medieval village is surrounded by three circular walls and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the area. If you see it for yourself, you'll soon understand why: the old town sprawls over a steep hill, adorned with stunning towers and steeples, while its square opens onto the breathtaking panorama of the Tuscan countryside. Our Cesarina’s country house encapsulates this charming atmosphere. Her beautiful wine cellar is home to dozens of aging bottles of local wine, and the rest of the apartment is warm and welcoming. It is here that Barbara serves us her local specialties; simple, but with sterling character and unforgettable taste.

This experience with Barbara was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Italy. Barbara was so welcoming, patient and knowledgeable about Italian cooking. Her passion for cooking showed. My wife and I learned how to make pici pasta and gnocchi, a vegetable sauce and tiramisu. Barbara walked us though each dish and answered any questions we had. The food was delicious and there was so much of it. We highly recommend Barbara to anyone in the Montepulciano area of Tuscany. Thank you so much.

Barbara was fantastic! Our whole family loved the experience. Everything was so fresh and our whole family loved doing this together. Thank you for sharing all your wisdom and passion for Tuscan cooking with us Barbara!

We loved our experience; the atmosphere was warm and most pleasant. The recipes are simple, and we will be delighted to recreate them at home to remind us of the flavors of Italy. My son, who is almost 4, will be thrilled to show his grandma how good he is at making pici. Thank you very much Barbara for your wonderful advice, and I recommend her to everyone.

What a wonderful experience! Learning to make fresh gnocchi and traditional pici pasta from scratch was both fun and authentic. The tiramisu was absolutely out of this world—the best I’ve ever had! Barbara was an exceptional chef and a warm, welcoming host who made the entire class enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone looking for a true taste of Tuscany!

Our cooking class with Barbara was a highlight of our first trip to Italy! My husband I felt privileged to be welcomed to her beautiful home, and to receive hands-on training in preparing fresh pici, gnocchi, and tiramisu. The meal was superb, and we were so proud that we had made it all from scratch! After three hours we felt confident that we could make this meal again at home. We also felt we had made a friend in Montepulciano, and a wonderful memory.
