Hello everyone! I’m Barbara, a Cesarina from Montepulciano with a passion for fresh pasta. I invite you into my kitchen for a fun and tasty cooking class where we’ll learn together how to make three different varieties of fresh pasta. We’ll start with the classic pici all’aglione, a rustic, elongated pasta, dressed with delicious red garlic from Montepulciano. Next, we’ll make homemade gnocchi using typical local cheeses, before finishing with a delicious pasta al ragù, using only top-quality ingredients. After getting our hands dirty, we’ll enjoy the fruits of our labour by tasting our freshly prepared dishes. I can’t wait to share my passion for fresh pasta and traditional Tuscan cuisine with you.

Our cooking class with Barbara was a highlight of our first trip to Italy! My husband I felt privileged to be welcomed to her beautiful home, and to receive hands-on training in preparing fresh pici, gnocchi, and tiramisu. The meal was superb, and we were so proud that we had made it all from scratch! After three hours we felt confident that we could make this meal again at home. We also felt we had made a friend in Montepulciano, and a wonderful memory.

Had an incredible time - so much fun and we learned so much. Barbara's hospitality was truly inspiring. And it was one of our favorite meals during our entire trip to Tuscany. Highly recommend!

What an experience this is! We joined Barbara on our honeymoon and the most amazing time. She is so lovely and we learnt how to make some incredible food, some of the best we had whilst in Italy! We felt really welcome and had a lot of fun, we'd 100% recommend!

Barbara's cooking class was absolutely amazing. We joined a group of seven and got to learn how to make pici pasta, tiramisu and gnocchi in Barbara's lovely home. There was great wine served and the food was so yummy.

Barbara welcomes us in Montepulciano Station, a historic village nestled on the hills in the province of Siena, near the characteristic medieval village is surrounded by three circular walls and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the area. If you see it for yourself, you'll soon understand why: the old town sprawls over a steep hill, adorned with stunning towers and steeples, while its square opens onto the breathtaking panorama of the Tuscan countryside. Our Cesarina’s country house encapsulates this charming atmosphere. Her beautiful wine cellar is home to dozens of aging bottles of local wine, and the rest of the apartment is warm and welcoming. It is here that Barbara serves us her local specialties; simple, but with sterling character and unforgettable taste.
