- My aunt and I had the most wonderful time (and food!) at Barbara's. Her space is comfortable and inviting and she is such a wonderful and welcoming human. There were two other couples with us and we had a wonderful time chatting over the best meal we had on our Italy tour. Thank you, Barbara, for such a great evening.
- Amazing experience. Barbara and her family was so welcoming ! Food was also amazing!
- We absolutely loved every minute of our cooking experience. We came with our family of 5 (kids age 9-15yrs) and Barbara was amazing with all of us. It was such fun! Everyone agrees that this cooking class was a highlight of our trip. We all agree that the pasta and tiramisu that we made was the BEST that we ate all from over Italy. We can’t recommend this class enough!
- We had the most wonderful time cooking with Barbara! Barbara is a warm and generous host, and a very skilled and helpful teacher. We made pici pasta, gnocchi, two delicious vegetable sauces and tiramisu - and we couldn’t believe how good they tasted! We were especially grateful for the fresh truffle that Barbara grated onto our gnocchi - which a friend of hers had gifted her and she generously shared with us. We also loved the intimacy of cooking in Barbara’s home kitchen and chatting with her over dinner - much more personal than the classes at larger cooking schools. We not only learnt about cooking but also life in Montepulciano. Thank you, Barbara, for your warm and generous hospitality. We won’t forget it!
- Absolutely fantastic. Barbara was an excellent host who made us feel so welcomed in her home. We learned so much about Italian food and culture and I will recommend this to all of my friend. She was incredible!

Cesarina from 2018Location: Montepulciano Languages: Italian and EnglishBarbara welcomes us in Montepulciano Station, a historic village nestled on the hills in the province of Siena, near the characteristic medieval village is surrounded by three circular walls and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the area. If you see it for yourself, you'll soon understand why: the old town sprawls over a steep hill, adorned with stunning towers and steeples, while its square opens onto the breathtaking panorama of the Tuscan countryside. Our Cesarina’s country house encapsulates this charming atmosphere. Her beautiful wine cellar is home to dozens of aging bottles of local wine, and the rest of the apartment is warm and welcoming. It is here that Barbara serves us her local specialties; simple, but with sterling character and unforgettable taste.
