Cacio all'argentiera (pan-seared aged cheese with garlic)
Busiate with swordfish and aubergines
Cannoli with ricotta cream
We'll begin with "Cacio all'argentiera", a simple yet flavorful appetizer rooted in Palermo’s culinary tradition. Next, we’ll make busiate, a hand-rolled fresh pasta crafted from remilled durum wheat flour and shaped using traditional "busi", vintage knitting needles once used for wool. We'll dress the pasta with a rich tomato sauce featuring swordfish and eggplant, capturing the authentic taste of Sicily. To finish, the iconic cannolo: a crisp pastry shell filled with fresh ricotta cream, enriched with chocolate chips and crushed pistachios, then dusted with powdered sugar. A true journey through Sicily’s genuine flavors.
We had a very pleasent evening with Mariolina and Rosario enjoying good company and excellent typical Sicilian dinner. We can warmly recommend to experience this nice concept especially with Mariolina's great cooking. Price is cheaper than in a conventional restaurant and on top of that you'll have an opportunity for a natural social interaction.
