Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

In my kitchen I will guide you on an authentic journey into the flavors of Parma, between tradition and passion. You will learn how to prepare family recipes, such as tortelli di erbetta or potato tortelli with soffritto, egg noodles, potato gnocchi, creamy risottos and fragrant sauces. We will end with a typical Parmesan dessert or an irresistible homemade tiramisu. A genuine cooking class, immersed in the cool pine forest of the Apennines in the heart of Emilia, to discover true homemade Parmesan cuisine.

Catia and her husband were so kind to us when they invited us into their beautiful home just outside Parma. Even though Catia said she wasn't a pro, the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for welcoming us into your home and good luck on your trip across Europe next year!

We spent a perfect evening with Catia and her family. They are passionate about cooking and lovingly share their Italian family recipes. It's a must-do when you visit Parma! Thank you again.

I had a great time with Catia and her family! We made some delicious pasta, tiramisu and tried some great wine - it was a great day filled with insights into Italian cuisine and culture. I highly recommend to everyone to give their beautiful home a visit!

Catia, and her daughter, Laura were superb hosts. Theu were very patient with us as we couldn't get a taxi or bus. Although the market didn't have many vendors that day, they made sure we had a special experience walking us around the Ducal Palace and enjoying a cafe and some traditional cookies. We stopped by a local store to get fresh ricotta. That was really interesting. Then back to Catia's where she expertly guided us to make tagliatelle d'erbet and tirimusu. Her husband also joined and showed us a full parma ham. We learned so much and ate even more. A truly wonderful and memorable experience with fun and friendly folks.

We are so grateful for a wonderful experience with Catia. Our family learned how to make two types of Tortelli...we heard family stories...our teenage daughters were encouraged...and our meal was delicious. Catia was an excellent teacher and host. I highly recommend this experience!
