Tasting of traditional dishes

Your experience

Immersed in the green countryside of Parma we will taste in a stately villa the typical dishes of our table, accompanied by excellent local red and white wines. Mixed hors d'oeuvres of cured meats with Prosciutto di Parma, pickles, and 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano, focaccia baked in our kitchen's wood-fired oven, pizza margherita and basil, fresh and stuffed pasta dishes, a second course of roasted meat with seasonal side dishes, grandmother's cake, and a tasting of our own bitters and infusions

We had the pleasure of joining Mauro and Natalia for their Cesarine culinary experience in Parma, and it was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The food was delicious—authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Mauro and Natalia were exceptional hosts: warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culinary traditions. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and the experience was as heartwarming as it was delicious. This was a highlight of our trip, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Parma!

I tagged along to Italy with my husband for his work. I booked this cooking class as something to do while he was busy. I love cooking and could not have anticipated what an amazing adventure I was about to have. Mauro and Natalia proved to be amazing hosts with a beautiful home. Their flexibility and willingness to learn and teach are what made this experience unforgettable. I was originally booked at a different home, but they had to cancel and I was unavailable the other date they had. Fortunately for me, Mauro and Natalia accepted me as their first guest in their kitchen. They are working to learn English and are very good at communicating. They taught with such ease and are very knowledgeable cooks. This was my first trip a few months after my mom had passed away unexpectedly. I appreciated the distraction from my sadness and felt the love for cooking in their home kitchen. I would love to take my family in the future so they could experience the wonderful cooking class for themselves and I could see Mauro and Natalia again!

Mauro and Natalia welcomed us warmly into their home, made the whole cooking experience super fun, interactive and you learn about the food & culture of Parma. It was like being with family! The food was amazing! All of the homemade dried meats, canned vegetables and his specialty main dish where at of this world delicious! We will be using what we learned back home! We finished the evening sharing their collection of homemade liqueurs, all made from their own fruit trees - AMAZING! He grows a pear in the bottle! So cool! We ended with a tour of their land and it is absolutely beautiful! When we are back in Parma we will definitely book with Mauro & Natalia again!!!

After travelling through Florence, Verona and Parma I had the best night of my trip with Mauro and Natalia! They welcomed me warmly into their home, made the whole cooking experience super fun, interactive and you learn so much about food and food culture in Parma, all from the warmth of a beautiful family kitchen and a long family history of cooks! The food was some of the best I’ve eaten, and they finished the evening sharing their collection of liqueurs, all homemade from their own fruit trees - the pomegranate was AMAZING!! I couldn’t recommend this experience more - go and do it!

The pizza baked in a wood-fired oven is just the beginning of a culinary journey. From oven-baked dishes to Parmesan specialties, each bite is a celebration of Italian tradition and passion. The outdoor barbecue becomes the stage for memorable celebrations, while polenta on the wood stove offers comfort and authenticity. In this kitchen, every dish tells a story, inviting you to share the essence of Italian cuisine. Welcome to my world of unique flavors and traditions.
