- Daniela was a wonderful, charming host. It’s like visiting a favorite cousin, you are enjoying the experience from the moment of arrival. Her home and the stunning views of Messina do more that complement the cooking experience. She is a very learned instructor and gracious host.
- I had a great time with Daniela. Not only does she have a beautiful appartement, the cooking class was very good. We made the best pasta, and a lovely dessert. After the class we had a great meal. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to have a great time, learn how to make pasta and eat the best food in Sicily! Thank you for the great experience!
- A perfect day in Italy. From shopping in the local market to making authentic dishes from Messina. She was the perfect hostess. In addition to the wonderful cooking and food we learned about the local culture. And the setting could not have been more perfect as we ate overlooking the sea from her terrance.Highly recommend regardless of your cooking experience.
- I honestly had high hopes for a great experience and they were met and superseded my already high expectations. Maria Daniella was incredibly friendly, competent, delicious food etc etc etc. The home was super beautiful very accessible and clean. The views were spectacular. So not only was it delicious food that we got to make mostly ourselves but we ate on her covered balcony and over looked Sicily. The entire family was so pleased and well worth it.

Cesarina from 2019Location: Messina Languages: Italian, English, SpanishIn Messina, there are many things to see: churches, palaces, fortifications, fountains, and monuments. But, to really get to know this city it is also a must to taste its typical dishes. So, you must therefore know the flavors and aromas typical of this part of Sicily and, the best place is at the home of our Cesarina. Maria Daniela loves the sea, and from the garden of her 1913 villa you can look out and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Strait of Messina. Together with her, you can learn how to make "maccheroncini al ferro" - the traditional fresh pasta that is seasons with the sauce -, and the Messina-style veal cutlets, which she learned to fill and roll since she was a child to help her mother and sisters in the kitchen.
