We’ll meet at the Sant’Orsola Municipal Market, where we’ll spend an hour exploring the stalls filled with local products, vibrant colors, and rich aromas — a truly immersive experience in daily Sicilian life. After our walk, we’ll head to my home by car to begin our traditional two-hour cooking class. Together, we’ll prepare fresh pasta — a cornerstone of Italian cuisine — and I’ll guide you step by step through the process. We’ll dress it with a delicious seasonal sauce and enjoy it with a glass of local wine, sharing a special moment around the table. I can’t wait to spend a morning with you between the market and homemade pasta!

- Rosella was fantastic. What a wonderful way to spend time in Messina. We started in the market, about 25 min walk from our cruise ship. We met Rosella and her cousin (with perfect English), we toured the market, bought some groceries, and then met Rosella’s kind husband outside for a car ride to their new house atop a hill. Once inside, we were greeted with appetizers, wine, coffees, water, etc. and then suited up in our aprons and started the cooking lesson. We made homemade pesto, using a mortar and pestle! The basil smelled divine. Then we all made fresh pasta by hand. After we all ate together and really got to know one another, the time flew by. We loved sitting around their table, in their beautiful home, with a beautiful meal and were surprised by the most delicious cannolis you’ve ever had!! My dad doesn’t usually like cannolis but after a bite of mine, he went for a whole one! Ha. After the meal, we took some photos and downloaded the ones they had taken, and Rosellas husband gave us a ride back to town, 2 min walk to the cathedral, clock tower, fountain and cruise terminal. It was a lovely day. I would recommend this experience as the best way to experience Sicily for anyone visiting Messina!

- We highly recommend this experience. From meeting in the market to shop for fresh ingredients, to being welcomed into Rosella's lovely home where we learnt how to prepare a pasta dish (including making fresh pasta!) we had a fun time. Eating our delicious food accompanied by good company, prosecco and wine rounded off a great morning.
