In the city of Messina it is a must to taste a typical fresh and summer sweet meal, famous all over the world.
We are talking about the Messina granita, which comes in different flavors, (coffee, strawberry, lemon, peach, pistachio, etc.) often served with whipped cream and accompanied by a leavened pastry called brioche con il "tuppo." All this makes for a unique taste experience! If you are my guest and decide to experience this tasting, I am sure you will not regret it.
We will prepare together the typical Messina granita with brioche and I will reveal the original recipe so you can make it at home with your loved ones.

- The hosts were absolutely lovely and welcomed us into their home with open arms. We enjoyed our experience from start to finish. We are a family of 10 with 2 kids and they were so accommodating. The kids even loved to participate in the process some! The pasta was so easy to make and we had some good laughs along the way. The tiramisu was some of the best I have ever had! We highly recommend this cooking class in Messina!!
- This was an exceptional small and private experience cooking and eating in a Sicilian home. Rosella didn’t speak much English, but her husband spoke great English and translated throughout. Her husband reached out the night before and offered a ride to and from their place to make the experience easier. I highly recommend taking him up on his offer! It was a very friendly and enjoyable afternoon for us and I highly recommend this cooking experience!

- If you are considering a cooking experience… do not hesitate to, this is the one! Well spent the day with Rossella and her husband to enjoy an unforgettable experience. We made homemade fettuccine, spaghetti and tiramisu. Honestly, the best meal we’ve had on our trip. So many flavors! The magic comes to life when your dough turns into pasta! The recipes were very well led and explained. We have the confidence that we can go home and remake this for our families. Thank you for opening your home to us, it was a beautiful day!
