Catia, our Cesarina, lives on the outskirts of Padua, a city full of treasures to be discovered. Art, culture, history and gastronomy, imposing squares, alleys and shops, nothing is really missing. Nothing is missing from our Cesarina's table either: delicacies that trace the typical Venetian and Paduan flavors, made with raw materials, most of which come from farms in the area.

Wow wow wow! What a wonderful experience me and my mother had with Cathia!! She is soo sweet, welcoming, knowledgable, friendly and open minded! We LOVED our experience! Really could not have asked for a better host :) We started with some coffee to then work on the tiramisu and then the 2 types of pasta - all superbly delicious and made with lots of lots and laughs!! We also visited her garden for some fresh fried zucchini flowers! (So yummy!!) Definitely recommend to anyone wishing to experience real italian cuisine with such a great and loving host :) We also had a great time meeting Cathia's son and husband - everyone was really friendly and social :) Great conversations and memories to share :) Again - a must for sure!!

Serata piacevole, Catia è stata di buona compagnia, all'insegna dell'allegria e della leggerezza abbiamo preparato buoni piatti della tradizione Veneta crostoli, bigoli e cicchetti. Una vera serata con le mani in pasta!!!

I got this experience as a parting present from my friends while leaving Austria for Italy, to meet new people and get to know Padova in a more special way. And what better way than through the essence of what makes Italian lifestyle so special - the Art of Cooking. Catia, my host, is the true embodiment of art, first of all in the magnificent paintings she creates as well as in the creativity she puts in carefully designing her dishes with such great detail that they are a piece of artwork themselves. I am very happy that we bonded so quickly through our love for art, animals and of course Italian cuisine. I learned that traditional pasta making is literally a work out session (nice addition for a healthy life style). My Cesarina is very proud and knowledgeable about the history of the Veneto region and so I got to know some intriguing details of the origins of the food I was making. All in all it is a unique experience that got me excited for the time I will spend living in Padova. In the present age of commercialization, the Cesarine are the frontline fighters in keeping the Italian soul food alive, and we should be grateful for them.

È stata un'esperienza fantastica! Catia G. Padova ha accolto me e la mia amica (grazie alla quale ho fatto questa esperienza) come se ci conoscessimo da tempo! Abbiamo chiacchierato davvero tanto!!. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente! Piatti buonissimi, abbondantissimi da cui traspare la sua passione per il buono e per il bello (essendo anche una bravissima pittrice). È stato tutto buonissimo. E nel fare da cornice al tutto la sua meravigliosa e accogliente casa e i suoi dolcissimi gatti! Insomma, catia ci ha fatto sentire davvero a casa! Infinitamente grazie Catia, spero di rivederti presto!

My husband gave me this gift. I went there without knowing what to expect, and I was not disappointed. This experience with Cathia was incredible. I would do it again once a week if I could . :)) You quickly feel very confortable in her company. It’s like cooking with a friend. She welcomes you by offering you a coffee and cupcakes. We made ravioli, bigoli and a tiramisu. Catia had everything ready. She shows, you do. Best way to learn. Between each préparation, we eat (and we drink good wine from the region). Catia makes us discover her region, and shares her secret recipes. The tiramisu tastes sooooo good. I highly recommend. I loved my experience from beginning to the end. Thank’s again Catia.

Our experience was everything for which we could have hoped. Cesarina Catia was kind, warm, welcoming and gracious. Her passion for food, cooking, wine and entertaining was clear and infectious. She is deeply knowledgeable about local geography, plants and vegetables, traditions and culture. It’s as if we were having lunch with a friend. We have certainly made a née friend. We would most definitely attend another Cesarine event, and we highly recommend it. We’ve traveled in Italy numerous times and we’ve never had an experience where we felt better connected to a local.
