The old medieval part of Cava de’ Terreni is characterised by a series of porticoed lanes reminiscent of those in Bologna; here we meet Gerardina.When she was younger, Gerardina often needed to cook for the whole family, something that soon became her passion. She loved learning more about her family traditions. Gerardina composes her recipes with genuine produce, grown in her vegetable garden, because for the success of a dish you have to focus on the quality of the ingredients. Fortunately she lives in an area that is home to an incredible variety of produce. So, with a little imagination and respect for tradition, she makes some unforgettable dishes

We enjoyed our experience from start to finish, we were welcomed into the hosts home, shown their beautiful garden before starting on preparation of a strawberry tiramisu made from fresh ingredients. Anna was extremely patient with my daughter and I which was definitely needed when we started working on the gnocchi. It took us a while to get the technique but there were lots of laughs as we tried. At the end we sat down to eat and it just felt like having a delicious home cooked meal with family. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home. It’s an experience we won’t forget ❤️

We had such a lovely time at our cooking class. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcomed. We started with a tour of their incredible garden & chatted for a bit before starting the cooking portion. We loved learning how to make gnocchi & a classic lemoncello dessert, but I would say our favorite part throughout the evening was talking & learning more about each other.

Es war ein wunderbares Erlebnis! Wir wurden herzlich von Anna und ihrem Mann empfangen und fühlten uns sofort sehr willkommen in den privaten Räumlichkeiten. Mit dem Marktbesuch und Einkauf startete wir und anschliessend bereiteten wir die Köstlichkeiten, unter wertvoller Anleitung von Anna, zu. Nebst dem feinen Essen haben wir auch viel über die Produkte, Herstellung und deren Geschichte erfahren. Zudem haben wir viele Insider Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt erhalten - diesen Austausch haben wir sehr geschätzt! Wir sind als Fremde gekommen und als Freunde gegangen - herzlichen Dank!

Anna y Luigi han sido unos huéspedes muy simpáticos. Hemos cocinado con ellos con toda confianza y hemos pasado un muy buen momento comiendo. Anna et Luigi sont absolument adorables : des hôtes accueillants, aux petits soins et avec un super tour de main pour les gnocchis. Notre fils de 3 ans et nous-mêmes avons passé un super moment comme à la maison. Merci!
