Food Tour: discover the best places where to taste the finest local food & wine

Shared Experience
Your experience

Live a memorable day in the countryside with a farm tour and discover the secrets of rural life. We'll start by exploring the farm and meeting the animals, making this a perfect activity for families and children. You'll taste local specialties such as artisanal cheeses, salami, and honey. After the tour, we’ll return to my home for a traditional cooking class, where I’ll guide you step by step: we’ll prepare a bruschetta with typical local ingredients as a starter, followed by a handmade fresh pasta dish—like ravioli or tagliatelle—with a seasonal sauce, and finish with tiramisù, a classic dessert of Italian cuisine. A special opportunity to rediscover genuine flavors and create new memories together.

We had lovely, memorable time with Patrizia and her husband. It was exactly what I was dreaming of when I looked for a tour combined with a hands-on cooking class. The location, the atmosphere, the friendliness, the tastes and generosity - everything was 5 stars and more. I hope we will be able to come again to Patrizia's house next year !!! Highly recommend !

We chose this cooking class as a special honeymoon activity during our first trip to Italy, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, Patrizia and her husband welcomed us into their beautiful home with warmth and genuine hospitality. They guided us through making two types of fresh pasta from scratch, followed by a heavenly tiramisu—every step filled with fun, laughter, and authentic Italian charm. It was not just a class, but a true cultural experience we’ll never forget. If you’re in the area, do not miss this—it’s an absolute must. Thank you, both again for a magical evening!

Patrizia’s local Italian cooking experience was the highlight of my trip to Lake Como, Italy. I had such a wonderful time thanks to her warm hospitality and the opportunity to learn how to make pizzoccheri, focaccia, and sciatt from scratch, using fresh ingredients from local farmers and her own beautiful garden. I’m so glad I got to learn her amazingly delicious recipes! She also prepared tasty eggplant with tomato sauce, tiramisu, and a special jam pie—what a treat! Her lovely husband made the experience even more special. The garden was absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous lake view, and the table setting was incredibly charming. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention—Patrizia is also a talented painter and creates beautiful hats and purses, which are displayed in her home! If you’re planning to visit Lake Como, especially the Bellano area, and are interested in an authentic local Italian cooking experience, I highly recommend Patrizia through Cesarine.com!

Patrizia was a wonderful hostess, providing us with limitless wine, freshly baked homemade focaccia, locally sourced cheese, honey and salami. The view from her house is incredible and it’s really the most enjoyable time that is worth every penny. She has been super responsive and overall extremely proactive with communicating with us. She is the epitome of a perfect hostess and everyone should try at least one of her classes! We can’t wait to return,

"My life is tied to the lake, this is where I have my roots and where I’m fine. I am a painter, my work allows me to manage time and the kitchen is for me my second workshop, where I can easily create dishes instead of paintings. My two children, now grown up and my husband were those who made me practice and love cooking. Hosting friends during the summer in the garden was an opportunity to understand that receiving guests is a pleasure and a personal enrichment. The ingredients of my recipes are all genuine, from local producers:  honey, cheese, fish, directly from the fisherman in Dervio, and vegetables from my garden that my husband cares with passion for many years. Our house is a bit like the houses of the past, the fireplace and the stove allow us to warm up and cook with wood, and I must say that the result of the dishes cooked on the wood stove is very good. Also in the garden we have a kitchen and, in summer, we prepare, cook and always eat outdoors."
