I invite you to my home to enjoy an authentic Piedmontese menu that begins with carpione, a traditional appetizer of my region. This dish, created to preserve the products of our countryside or lake catch, has become an essential element to savor the taste of Piedmontese tradition. Meat, eggs and vegetables are cooked and then preserved in flavorings, vinegar and wine, giving an unmistakable strong but delicate flavor that takes us back to ancient and forgotten flavors. Next, I propose a little-known but extremely tasty risotto, followed by a dessert that is an authentic workhorse of our cuisine. The experience will be unforgettable in my location overlooking the Borromean Islands. I look forward to it with enthusiasm!
My husband and I love to do cooking experiences when we visit other countries and we both agreed, this is the best one we have ever done. Gabriella and Fausto are very welcoming and friendly to invite you into their home. The cooking class itself is fun and practical, whether you are an experienced home chef or never cooked before. Gabriella gives good instructions and lets you do the ‘work’. There is not a single dull moment. After the preparations and cooking, you get to eat the pasta’s you prepared yourself and it is delicious! Gabriella even packed up the left overs for us to take with us!
