I look forward to seeing you at my home in Stresa, pearl of Lake Maggiore, a town endowed with breathtaking views and numerous Art Nouveau villas.

In this cooking class we will make three traditional Piedmontese recipes together: we will prepare Tonnata sauce with fresh mayonnaise and spread it on thin slices of veal.We will work the flour with the eggs to obtain the dough from which we will make tagliatelle, which will be topped with gorgonzola mantecato and walnuts. Finally we will conclude with the typical Stresa sweets, Margheritine accompanied by fresh seasonal fruit and a zabaglione cream.

Gisella
Cesarina from 2018Location: Stresa    Languages: French, Italian, English
Stresa is an elegant and charming town on Lake Maggiore, full of luxurious hotels, period buildings and beautiful Art Nouveau villas. It is very pleasant to take a walk along the lakeside promenade among flower gardens and small restaurants. The small historic city center is very picturesque, with nineteenth century buildings, terraces full of flowers and the cozy home of Gisella, our Cesarina.  We could say that Gisella was 'born in a hotel.' She lived in one until she was 12 years old. In her family’s hotel, she would prepare a snack in the restaurant, eat in the dining room and was prepared simple desserts by the staff. Her passion for the culinary arts was nurtured in this environment, and now she’s a Cesarina!
