I am waiting for you in my home, on the shores of Lake Maggiore and overlooking the Borromean Islands, to share my passion for cooking with you! I am Gabriella and I have always loved traditional cooking. In my cooking class, I will teach you how to prepare three fresh pasta specialties: ravioli, tagliatelle and gnocchi. I will show you all the secrets to making perfect fresh pasta, from preparing the dough to making the different pasta shapes. I will guide you, step by step, in the preparation of the fillings and sauces that accompany these delicious dishes. At the end of the class, we will sit down together at the table to enjoy the fruits of our labor, accompanied by a bottle of Piedmontese wine.

Three girlfriends and I had dinner with Gabriella and her husband. What a fun night with many laughs and learning. She taught us how to make risotto and other Italian cooking tips, but we enjoyed four courses including wine and dessert. Awesome experience and would highly recommend an evening with this wonderful couple!!

Unless George Clooney invites you to his villa on Lake Como, vacation on Lake Maggiore and spend an afternoon with Gabriella in her kitchen in Vabaveno. From the moment we arrived we were greeted as old friends with Aperitive (wine), tasting of Piemonte appetizers and traditional northern Italian Sunday food. With pleasantries completed, we jumped right into slicing tomatoes and vegetables for the sauce. While the sauce is cooking, we began making the pasta from basic ingredients. When all was ready, we sat down to a beautiful table and were treated to a surprise, Gabriella's husband was able to join us. The dinner included our antipasto, cheese and sauce Verde, Prosecco (several glasses) carperone piedmontese , our pasta with tomato sauce and tagliatelle with basil. For desert we enjoy the Tiramisu, all made from scratch! As an added treat, Gabriella and husband took us on a short walking tour of their town. Now we will always have friends in northern Italy.
