  • Culurgiones (Sardinian Stuffed Pasta)

Hello everyone, I am Andrea, a resident of Cagliari, and I would be happy to welcome you to my home to spend a pleasant evening dedicated to the discovery of Culurgiones, a traditional Sardinian dish. These delicious ravioli are stuffed with potatoes, cheese and aromas typical of our region. The dough of Culurgiones is prepared with water and remilled semolina flour, following the recipe handed down from generation to generation. After preparing them together, we will have the pleasure of tasting them, perhaps accompanied by a good glass of wine. It will be a special occasion to share our culinary culture and tradition, and to make new acquaintances in a cozy and convivial atmosphere.

I look forward to seeing you for this evening of good food.

Andrea and his family are wonderful. We had an amazing pasta night filled with fun, delicious food, and lovely conversations. The homemade pasta was outstanding, and both the appetizer and dessert were equally delicious. Cooking together in the garden made the whole experience even more special. I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Thank you, Andrea! ☺️

An absolutely wonderful and authentic experience. We had the chance to take a Sardinian culurgiones cooking class at Andrea and his wife’s beautiful and charming home. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with so much warmth and kindness. They taught us how to make culurgiones with patience, passion, and love for the ingredients and cooking. But beyond the cooking class itself, what we loved most was the wonderful moment of sharing. We had such a great time, both while learning how to make the culurgiones and later during dinner, where we had the pleasure of chatting with this lovely couple, who have so many beautiful stories to tell and such a genuine desire to share their culture, their knowledge, and their love for Sardinia. It was a truly special encounter and one of the highlights of our trip to Sardinia. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience.

Andrea and his daughter were amazing hosts! They welcomed us into their beautiful home and offered a cultural and tasty experience with their stuffed pasta class. They are knowledgeable and extremely welcoming, catering the experience to each person. It was an experience like no other and we look forward to trying this recipe on our own! Thank you Andrea!

A very special experience and totally recommended. Our son loves to cook and, when we travel, we try to get to know the local gastronomy by participating in workshops like this one for culurgiones, a typical Sardinian recipe. We discovered that making them is much more complex than it seems: a true manual craft. First, we prepared the dough, then we formed each culurgione, and finally, we made the sauce. We loved learning the entire process and participating actively. The experience takes place literally in the kitchen of an Italian family, who make you feel like one of their own from the very first moment. Andrea, our chef, guided us in the preparation, while Federica explained each step and helped us throughout the process. At the end, we had dinner with the whole family in a beautiful and very cozy garden, enjoying what we had cooked. It was an intimate, fun evening full of laughter. They were wonderful hosts and, without a doubt, this workshop has become one of our best memories of our trip to Sardinia.

The culurgiones were so good that we each ate 4 plates. But the 5 stars are primarily for the two hosts and for their sweet, warm, and helpful welcome. Opening the doors of their home and private spaces and sharing the table with food and cooking lovers made the whole experience feel immensely familiar. A hug from Emanuela and Marco.

My house is located on the coast of Quartu Sant’Elena — quiet in winter and sparkling in summer, as it’s a seaside area loved by tourists for the enchanting places along the coast. Just a few kilometers from here, you’ll find stunning beaches known all over the world, as well as beautiful landscapes surrounded by nature. I’ve been living in Sardinia for 35 years, so I feel like a local too. I’ve always loved cooking, and I bring Mediterranean cuisine to the table, having learned and experimented with the recipes of the places I know and love. In my kitchen, you’ll find both local Sardinian dishes and specialties from Calabria, Campania, and Sicily — always reimagined in my own way. Mediterranean spirit and vibrant colors are never missing from my dishes!
