Your experience
I invite you to Modena, a city that I love and where I carry within me its traditions and appreciation for good food. I spent my childhood in the kitchen with my grandmother, immersed in the aromas and flavors of rustic cooking. I live a stone's throw from the historic center and it is here that I await you for a unique culinary experience. Don't just expect a lunch or dinner: what I offer is a real cooking demo! You will be able to see how I prepare tigelle (traditional Italian bread), following the tradition handed down to me. And after the tigelle, accompanied by local cold cuts/cheeses and organic jams, comes dessert: a properly made tiramisu, creamy, just sweet enough, with that touch of coffee that makes it irresistible!

- Maria Luisa is a fantastic host. She’s very kind, warm and helpful. It’s a pleasure to witness her craft and being able to enjoy Modena’s finest food with her.
- Padrona di casa perfetta, Maria Luisa ci ha seguito passo passo nella realizzazione di tagliatelle, tortellini e tortelli. 4 ore passate in simpatia che consiglio a tutti. Sughi perfetti, ricette ottime, consigliatissima!!!!
- Una esperienza molto piacevole, le Cesarine molto simpatiche e prodighe di consigli e spiegazioni. Molto chiare le cose da fare per ottenere una sfoglia per fare la pasta in casa. Il risultato è sorprendente. Ottimo !!!!! Una bella esperienza da consigliare e riprovare.
- We enjoyed our morning with Luisa and her friend Ilaria. They were so welcoming and we had fun spending time with them. They gave us a quick tour through the covered market and purchased some cherries to taste before heading to Luisa's home. She showed us how to make homemade pasta (tagliatelle and farfalle) and served it with her own (pre-made) ragu, as well as appetizers, wine, a main course, and tiramisu, all of which she had made in advance. The food and wine were delicious and we had a lovely time, but for the price, we were expecting a more hands-on market and cooking experience.
- We had and excellent experience. Luisa and Maria were wonderful hosts: patient and encouraging. We can’t wait to go home and prepare the pasta and tiramisu for the rest of our family. We couldn’t have had a better time. Thanks so much!!

Cesarina from 2019Location: Modena Languages: Italian and EnglishModena is a city rich in tradition, famous throughout the world for good food and passion for the automotive industry. On its hills, you can see castles, fortresses, towers, and medieval villages, testimonies of its history, in a landscape that satisfies mind and spirit. Luisa spent her childhood in grandmother's kitchen, surrounded by the aromas and flavors of peasant cuisine. Every day she smelled the scent of fresh homemade pasta, tigelle, and crescentine, and it was exactly her grandmother who taught her to 'put your hands in the dough’. Our Cesarina lives closer to the historic center, where she hides a real treasure: the old family vinegar factory, which she loves to show her guests.
