Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

For me, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and, as early as November, my home fills with decorations, festive scents and preparations. I love welcoming guests into a warm, homely atmosphere, with the wood-burning stove alight and plenty of traditional Sicilian dishes on offer.

We’ll be preparing typical festive specialities, such as Scacce modicane with various fillings, arancine, Boccate with broccoli, Pastieri, cicche with mature caciocavallo cheese, and tomasini with sausage and ricotta. To round off the experience, there’ll be a selection of delicious appetisers and traditional desserts, such as Mpanatiggie and gelo di limone. An opportunity to experience Christmas through the flavours of my homeland, in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
