Hi from Giovannella!

My cooking is the result of a family passion passed down from my mother, my grandmother, and shaped by the experiences and places that have been part of my life. I love cooking with seasonal, local products, and whenever possible, ingredients from my own garden. I enjoy growing and using aromatic herbs, transforming fruit into unique and healthy jams, as well as creating traditional liqueurs. My cuisine is typical of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, as a Neapolitan transplanted to Puglia, with Sicilian and Campanian grandmothers and a Pugliese mother-in-law. I love French cuisine and exploring “fusion” experiences that blend Southern Italian and international flavors.

Giovannella was AMAZING! I can't even put into words how happy I am that we got to do this. She was so patient in teaching my non-kitchen friendly self everything while also making it fun. She makes you feel like you're a part of the family and shared so much information about the region as well as helped us make sure we could experience all there was to offer by giving us personal recommendations for things to do. The food was of course, delicious, and I could have stayed there all day eating. 100/10 you must do this & get to know Giovannella!

Breanna - December 2025

Overall the only ingredients we used were flour, semolina, olive oil, olives, tomatoes, 2 eggs, cocoa powder, sugar, ladyfingers, Strega and coffee liquors and salt and created the best focaccia we have ever had, two kinds of pasta, orechiette and cavatelli, and a stupendous tira mi su. After it all cooked and /or rested, we lunched on everything along with 4 local cheeses, 5 homemade jellies, one a savory peperonata, 3 local salume, and locally produced wines. The meal was restaurant quality (maybe better!), Giovannella was an effective, entertaining, and educational teacher, and the Masseria was lovely to visit. We highly recommend this experience to everyone!

Dale and Bianca Mandel - November 2025

We've had an amazing experience with Giovannella's cooking class. After being welcomed with coffee and limoncello we started right away with making Tiramisu. Giovannella makes you feel at home, is funny and absolutely loves what she does. We then made pasta sitting at the kitchen table and enjoyed the Italian vibe and hospitality. The food was amazing and we enjoyed the scenery of the the beautiful Masseria. This workshop is a must!

M&O - October 2025

We had an amazing time at our private cooking class. Giovanna's property was beautiful. The lunch was delicious. It was a memorable experience. Just what we were looking for on our honeymoon! Truly authentic experience!

Giovanella made this cooking class a wonderful experience. She combined useful cooking techniques with reference to Apulian culture. She was accommodating to one in our group with certain food allergies. Most important, the food was delicious!! My highest recommendation!
