Hi from Giovannella!

My cooking is the result of a family passion passed down from my mother, my grandmother, and shaped by the experiences and places that have been part of my life. I love cooking with seasonal, local products, and whenever possible, ingredients from my own garden. I enjoy growing and using aromatic herbs, transforming fruit into unique and healthy jams, as well as creating traditional liqueurs. My cuisine is typical of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, as a Neapolitan transplanted to Puglia, with Sicilian and Campanian grandmothers and a Pugliese mother-in-law. I love French cuisine and exploring “fusion” experiences that blend Southern Italian and international flavors.

We had a wonderful cooking and eating experience in the Italian countryside with Giovannella. From the moment she welcomed us at her lovely organic Masseria, we felt at home. She created a very hands-on and authentic experience making tagliatelle and tiramisu. As cool as the cooking class was, the eating portion of the day was even better! The food was spectacular, punctuated by a cornucopia of delights from her organic gardens. Giovannella made us feel like family, and we highly recommend this experience to anyone coming to Puglia.

Wow! What an evening with Gionvannella! The Masseria is absolutely stunning, so peaceful and quiet. I had the absolute pleasure of having a solo cooking class! It felt like such a treat. Giovannella taught me how to make Tiramisu and Tagliatelle, she demonstrated and then supervised me doing the rest of the work. She was so patient and calm, she explains so well what to do and gives you the confidence to do it yourself. Giovannella is so warm and friendly, you feel like you're at home. After making the Tiramisu and Tagliatelle, Giovannella made me a gorgeous spread of delights... focaccia, ricotta pizza, ciceri e tria and Tagliatelle with meat sauce and to finish!.. our tirimasu! Beautiful evening, delicious food, great company, gorgeous surroundings x

Wonderful moment with Jeanette, who speak a very good French ! This was a pleasure to go to the market, to taste everything we were curious on. Then going to Jeanette’s Masseria, we cooked pasta, had a coffee and discussed about technics and trick that will help us make the same at home. We had a great meal and many advices on the region and the local food to taste ! Thank you very much Jeanette !
