Ciao da Pierangela!

Ciao, sono Pierangela e cucinare per gli altri è una delle cose che più mi rende felice. Fin da piccola ho desiderato sperimentare con le ricette tradizionali del mio paese. Sono nata a Gravina in Puglia, un luogo al confine tra Puglia e Basilicata, ricco di una tradizione culinaria straordinariamente ricca. È proprio questa ricchezza che mi spinge a cucinare: tante ricette, tanti sapori, unici ed inconfondibili, appartenenti solo a noi. Panzerotti, focaccia barese, Pan cotto alla gravinese, U' ruccl (tipica focaccia di San Giuseppe), calzoni di ricotta dolci al ragù di maiale, orecchiette al tegamino, cavatelli, i finocchietti al forno, cartellate, e tanto altro: questi sono i sapori tipici della mia terra d'origine. Da 12 anni vivo a Lecce, nel meraviglioso e spettacolare Salento, e fin da subito ho cominciato ad assaporare e realizzare piatti tipici della tradizione salentina, tra cui i famosissimi Pezzetti di cavallo, Ciceri e tria, le Pittule, il Pizzo, Frise e l'immancabile pasticciotto.

Pierangela was a an amazing host! We had a great time. Attending this cooking class was an absolute delight! From start to finish, the experience was both educational and incredibly enjoyable. The Pierangela was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about food, which made the whole atmosphere warm and inviting. She took the time to explain each step. The food was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their culinary skills and have a fantastic time doing it!

Le cours de cuisine avec Pierangela était super. Nous avons cuisiné deux foccacias. La recette est celle de la grand-mère de Pierangela. Elles étaient délicieuses. Pierangela avait préparé à l’avance deux pâtes pour qu’elles aient le temps de lever avant le cours. Nous avons façonné les foccacias et fait une foccacia à la tomate et l’autre aux pomme terre . Nous avons refait des pâtes à foccacia nous même qui seront prêtes plus tard dans la journée. Pierangela avait préparé plein de légumes pour agrémenter les foccacias sue nous avons manger ensemble le midi autour d’une bière. C’était une superbe expérience que nous recommandons. Nous avons passé un très bon moment

We had such a fabulous experience learning how to make pasta with Pierangela! We made orecchiette, cavatelli and tiramisu and it was all delicious. It was such a lovely experience being in a locals home and learning how to make traditional, local dishes. Pierangela’s husband prepared some delicious bruschettas to have before our meal and we were joined by their friends and young daughter - such a fabulous experience. We can’t wait to show our friends back home our new pasta making skills. Would recommend anyone to do a cooking class with Pierangela :)

What an experience to be welcomed into Pierangela and Francesco’s home for a 1 on 1 pasta making class! We first made a tiramisu… and right to the pasta making! Orecchiette and cavateli…made by hand by us! Wow! We were even joined at one point by Piera’s adorable 2 year old, Alice in the pasta making! Piera prepared a selection of delicious bruschettas to start our supper, along with some beautiful Rose! Piera prepared to different sauces .. both incredible! She is a fabulous teacher. I would love to come back to Lecce and take more classes with her! It’s a day I will cherish forever!!
