Your experience
  • Tigelle with Modenese pesto, cold cuts and cheeses

Authentic Emilia-Style Aperitivo: join us to discover the timeless crescentine (also known as tigelle), traditional breads from Emilia, and enjoy the fun of making them by hand. We’ll pair them with flavorful spreads, cured meats, seasonal veggies, cheeses, and fruit preserves. To complete the experience, you’ll taste them alongside a glass of local Spergola white wine, a sparkling Lambrusco rosé, or, if you prefer, a refreshing non-alcoholic aperitivo. I didn't know about "Cesarine"—they gifted me this voucher for my birthday, and it was spot on, considering I've recently enjoyed cooking and trying new things. I got along well with Chiara and felt comfortable. Together we cooked erbazzone, where I was able to learn new things, as well as how to make gnocco. She answered all my questions competently and simply. We then ate what we cooked together with a good glass of wine. I'm happy with the experience and hope to return to learn more.

Our cooking class with Chiara exceeded our expectations! We absolutely loved the entire experience and would highly recommend her class. Everything went perfect. As a host, Chiara made us feel comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived and she did a great job of communicating with us before the class to ensure everything would go smoothly. As a teacher, Chiara was patient, fun, and incredibly helpful. She kept us well-informed through the whole cooking process and helped guide the way as we, complete amateurs, learned from a pro! The quality of the ingredients was top notch which made for absolutely delicious final products!!! Dinner wasn’t just great food, as we thoroughly enjoyed the company. Eating felt more like hanging out with friends rather than a classroom. This was a great benefit as it made us feel like we experienced an authentic piece of Italian culture. We also received plenty of great videos and photos from the experience! Please, do yourself a favor and take this class if you can!

Our Cesarina Chiara lives in Reggiolo, a small town on the border between Emilia and Lombardy, land of the Po and the Gonzagas. "I am a young girl who grew up on 'tortelli and cappelletti'. Nonna Luisa taught me to work fresh pasta, to prepare simple dishes, but rich in tradition. I am waiting for you to savor those flavors that for me are home, authenticity and sharing."
