Your experience
- Seasonal appetizer
- Handmade pasta with seasonal sauce
- Seasonal dessert
By joining this food experience you will have the opportunity to really enjoy the Sicilian cuisine at a deeper and more personal level while sitting at my table dining with my family in my home in the heart of Palermo's historic center just a stone's throw away from the Opera Housa, the Teatro Massimo.
We will end a dish altogether and I will show you for example how to shape a typical fresh pasta or how to prepare a typical appetizer such as cacio all'argentiera, a Palermo city traditional way of cooking cheese. I will also entertain you by telling you stories and anecdotes of dishes I will propose. We will taste together a three-course menu, all homemade, which will be served with excellent local wine and warm Sicilian hospitality.

- The pasta making experience with Alice was great! She added context to all that we were doing by explaining some culinary history and rationale for why things were done the way they were - plus the food was delicious! I would absolutely recommend to others.
- This cooking class was a highlight of our trip! Great recipes and felt like we were cooking and eating with our new Italian friends - highly recommend!
- I had a lovely time with Alice and Francesco. I was the only one in the class. They were knowledgeable and lovely to chat with. Highly recommended.
- Alice & Francesco were amazing hosts! Our group absolutely loved visiting their beautiful home, cooking traditional Sicilian pasta & tiramisu, & trying different local foods. What made our evening with A&F so special, was their incredible generosity! We were also blown away by their friendliness & the amount of information they were able to share with us, not only about the local produce & traditional recipes but also about Palermo’s politics & history. We could not recommend A&F enough- they were fantastic teachers & wonderful hosts! Thank you!!
- Alice and Francesco were amazing hosts. This was our first time in Italy and they were by far the most memorable part of our trip, also the best food we ate on the trip. We would highly recommend booking a class with her while you are staying in Palermo.

Cesarina from 2022Location: Palermo Languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French"I was passionate about cooking and food since I was a child, accomplices grandmother who loved to cook and the whole family who loves to eat well. I therefore decided to pursue a university career in the field of gastronomy. I have faced a multidisciplinary and holistic path that has treated the world of food at 360 o'clock. I love cooking for my family and for others, starting from the choice of recipes and the selection of ingredients. I like to experiment and I'm particularly passionate about pastry and leavened foods. I do research on ancient cookbooks and asking around, especially older ladies, their family recipes. Sicily, like all Italy, has an invaluable gastronomic heritage, whose recipes and preparations vary from house to house, not only between cities and provinces. This gives the palate the opportunity to enjoy the same traditional dishes with different ingredients, techniques and stories."
