Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Tagliatelle with lemon and the aromas of the vegetable garden
  • Ravioli filled with ricotta and Monte Veronese
  • A platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, served with homemade bread and focaccia
  • Baldo honey mousse, lemon jelly and Garda-style fogassa

I’ll welcome you into my home on Lake Garda to spend a few hours together exploring the local cuisine and flavours.

Starting simply with flour and eggs, we’ll make fresh pasta together. I’ll show you how to knead the dough, roll it out using a pasta machine and shape it into two types: tagliatelle and stuffed ravioli. Once we’ve finished in the kitchen, it’ll be time to relax. In the warmer months, we’ll move outdoors, where you can enjoy an aperitif with local cold cuts and cheeses, accompanied by homemade bread and focaccia, whilst I finish preparing the main courses, which we’ll enjoy together shortly afterwards. I’d like this experience to be more than just a cookery class: an informal Italian-style meal to discover another side to Lake Garda.

I am Chiara, a musician and a cooking enthusiast. For me, the table has always been a special place for conviviality, sharing, and connecting with others. I love simple and authentic cuisine, made with a few carefully selected ingredients and prepared with respect for their true qualities. During the years I spent in Bologna, I discovered the tradition of fresh pasta by attending pasta-making courses and learning the techniques of handmade pasta, which I now love to share with my guests. I also explored natural fermentation and the preparation of baked goods made with sourdough. Today I live with my husband in Brenzone sul Garda, in the house where I grew up, a place I have rediscovered with new eyes: surrounded by olive trees, lemon groves, the lake, and mountains. I wish to welcome my guests into a warm and relaxed environment, sharing the preparation of fresh pasta and the authentic flavors of this special corner of Italy, creating an experience filled with taste, traditions, and conviviality.
