Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Gnocchi with sausage ragù
  • Pumpkin gnocchi (homemade pasta) with red chicory
  • carrot cake

In our family, for Sunday lunch, "del di' di festa" (holiday day), we always prepared special dishes, and in memory of our grandparents who often enjoyed these hot, steaming, and tasty vegetables in winter, we would like to introduce you to gnocchi and the secrets to making them at their best.

We will make a flavorful sauce with sausage and onion, which goes well with the delicate taste of potatoes.... We will also make a version with pumpkin, and we will try to play with color and flavor. To conclude our experience, we will make a surprising carrot cake whose aroma will take us back to memories of when we were children.

I will highly recommend this class. We learn to make pasta while laughing and learning about life as an Italian.

What a wonderful evening! Our family took her pasta and tiramisu class, and she and her family welcomed us with open arms! The class was so much fun, and the lovely dinner afterwards in her beautiful garden was the icing on top! Highly recommend!

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Dina’s home learning how to make spinach and ricotta ravioli, tagliatelle pasta, and tiramisu. Dina’s sister and nephew were there to help with the cooking and translation, and were an excellent addition to the group. Dina offered us a ride to her home and her nephew picked us up which was a huge help given that we didn’t have a vehicle. Her husband gave us fresh apricots and plums to try from their garden. One other family participated and our small group all had an opportunity to mix, knead, roll, stuff, and cut the pasta. The highlight of our experience was enjoying the dinner as a group outside in their beautiful garden. They also provided delicious salads, unique (to me) Tuscan bread crisps, fruit, cheese, meat, wine and prosecco to enjoy while the pasta cooked. The company and conversation with everyone was delightful and the food was beyond delicious! We loved this authentic Italian experience and highly recommend Dina and her family for a wonderful pasta making and eating experience!

Our passion for cooking is deeply rooted in traditional recipes that we’ve always prepared as a family: homemade pasta, ravioli, Sunday sauce, pies, and the classic desserts of festive occasions like Easter. Over the years, the desire to challenge ourselves has grown, leading us to explore international dishes and more innovative recipes — always with a focus on wholesome ingredients, preferably from our own garden whenever possible.
