Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Mixed bruschetta
  • Potato tortelli with meat sauce
  • Tuscan tiramisu

Discover simple, ancient techniques, rich in wisdom and tradition. We will use seasonal ingredients: potatoes, beans, and mushrooms in autumn and winter; wild herbs, artichokes, and fresh ricotta in spring; and flavorful tomatoes, eggplants, and zucchini in summer. Together we will prepare "fettunta," a typical appetizer garnished with vegetables from the garden and oil from our trees. Then we will get our hands dirty and, step by step, make tortelli stuffed with potatoes and pecorino cheese to enjoy with fragrant sauces. We will conclude the experience by preparing a Tuscan tiramisu, where our typical biscuits are dipped in vinsanto and combined with the softest cream.

Dina and her family were wonderful hosts for my young son and I. They were incredibly hospitable and generous. This was a memorable experience for both of us and it is highly recommended!

Dina, Chiara, & Giorgio were excellent teachers and very welcoming. We made ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta and also a tiramisu. They also were so generous to prepare other appetizers for us to snack on plus had bubbly and wine. They were also lovely company, and we enjoyed our dinner together. We definitely recommend this class and plan to share with all of our friends!

We thoroughly enjoyed this hands on experience. Dina and her family were very warm and welcoming. If you’ve never made pasta before or if you have this is a great was to see how the locals make it. Their hospitality was above and beyond as they shared their home with us and even their sweaters as the wind picked up and became a little chilly. Their kindness did not go unnoticed. If you’re in Arezzo (or near by) you should book this excursion you won’t be disappointed. Tell them Hi from Helen and Pat!

Helen & Pat -

This class was our group’s introduction to Tuscany, and we spent the rest of our trip comparing every meal and experience to what we had at Dina’s. Spoiler alert: everything else fell short! Beyond the fun activity and the sublime food and wine, Dina made us feel so welcome and at ease that our time practically flew by. A wonderful chef, a great teacher, and a hostess without parallel. You won’t be disappointed.

One of our favourite experiences of the trip and an absolute must do! Dina and her family were so kind and welcoming, we felt very at home! Loved it🍝

Our passion for cooking is deeply rooted in traditional recipes that we’ve always prepared as a family: homemade pasta, ravioli, Sunday sauce, pies, and the classic desserts of festive occasions like Easter. Over the years, the desire to challenge ourselves has grown, leading us to explore international dishes and more innovative recipes — always with a focus on wholesome ingredients, preferably from our own garden whenever possible.
