Small Group hands-on cooking class with 2 pasta recipes and tiramisù

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Mandilli (small thin lasagna) with pesto
  • Genoese frisceu (small balls of fried dough)
  • Tiramisu in the glass: classic with coffee or seasonal fruit

Join me in my home, between the sea and the garden for a special cooking class!

We will prepare the batter and fry the typical Genoese frisceu, special for the aperitif, then we will learn to prepare the "mandilli de sea", the delicate Ligurian lasagnette to be seasoned with pesto and we will learn the secrets of the famous tiramisu, in the classic coffee version or with the fruit that the season offers us, all contained in jars. Finally we will relax by drinking an aperitif with typical appetizers and then we will eat what we have prepared together. I will be happy to host you in the garden, in front of the sea, if the weather is good, otherwise in the dining room around the great-grandmother's large table.

Cooking with Vittoria has been the highlight of our Italy trip! She welcomed us into her beautiful home and taught us to cook authentic Italian food. She was a great teacher, and it was so fun learning more about her and the culture. It was such a unique and fun experience, and we hope to be back sometime in the future.

Stop scrolling and book this cooking class! Vittoria was the perfect hostess, and this was one of the best things that we did during our trip to Italy. Her house looks right at the Mediterranean Sea and her cooking class was top-notch. We started off with making a dessert and while that was setting up in the refrigerator, we moved on to the appetizer. After that, we sat out outside on Vittoria’s front lawn, looking at the beautiful sea while we ate appetizers we made and other appetizers that were provided by Vittoria. After that, we went back inside and made homemade pasta and the rest of the meal. It was such an amazing experience and I would absolutely book with her if I am ever lucky enough to get back to Italy.

Vittoria was an amazing host! We learned about pasta making process, variations of flour, egg content for different pastas and other pasta making concerns. We made local fried appetizers, pasta, pesto and tiramisu. Vittoria was wonderful and charming with me and my teenage children and even my non participating husband. We all had fun. And we learned about Italian food preparation and traditions. And then we got to eat what we made! Everything was excellent! I wish there were similar local food education in the United States!

My cooking is primarily inspired by regional recipes from Liguria and Piedmont, with a strong emphasis on valuing local ingredients. I have a particular fondness for using spices and herbs, and I love preparing fish-based dishes. However, my culinary repertoire doesn't stop here: I also enjoy exploring other Italian regional traditions and cuisines from other countries, as I like to experiment to always offer new, surprising flavors to my guests.
