Cooking class: learn how to cook Italian recipes
Private Experience
Your experience
- Chard cake
- Pansotti with knobs sauce
- Canestrelli (typical biscuits from Liguria)
During this cooking class you will learn how to prepare 3 recipes: an appetizer typical of my area, Chard Pie, a first course of fresh pasta, and Canestrelli, sweets typical of Liguria.
Under my guidance you will learn how to make the dough, roll out the puff pastry and prepare a fresh pasta following my family's recipes, with a filling of local herbs and ricotta cheese. We will use the old family mortar to make a traditional sauce with walnuts, garlic and cream. Dulcis in fundo we will make the typical flower-shaped Canestrelli cookies with simple ingredients such as butter flour sugar and egg. All that remains is to try putting your hands in the dough and savor the authenticity and simplicity of Ligurian cuisine.

- The activity was an amazing experience. Our host Ms. Daniela was welcoming and really great with teaching two different pasta, two sauce recipes and tiramisu. Me and my Wife enjoyed the process teaching and company of the Host. I would definitely recommend this to foodies, couples and small group of friends who would like to have a local Italian experience. Again, A special thanks to Ms. Daneila for making us comfortable and teaching us to make amazing food.
- Daniela was amazing, she was very kind, very informative and I feel like a made a friend. We made several recipes together and I learned a lot, can’t wait to make the pasta and sauces at home. I would highly recommend Daniela and I look forward to taking another class with her when I’m back in Genoa.
- O thoroughly enjoyed the class! From the minute I arrived I let as if I was in the home of a friend. Very hands on process to make 2 pastas and two sauces AND tiramisu. Just a delightful experience. Highly recommend.
- Daniela was such a great teacher and we learned to make two pastas, two sauces and tiramisu, all were delicious. The best part though was meeting Daniela, I feel like a made a friend. I highly recommend this and I look forward to doing it again!
- Daniela welcomed us as friends and shared with a generosity her family receipies, her cooking tips and a lot of memories. We cooked delicious pasta and the best tiramisu I had ever eaten. I feel confident I can cook it again ;-) I highly recommand! It is also a perfect activity to do with a teenager.

From my home, a few steps from the historic center, you can admire the famous Forts of Genoa and Mount Fasce. My father from Emilia and my mother from Tuscany gave me the passion for good food with simple recipes. I love sharing gastronomic experiences with friends and family."
