Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Pasta stuffed with ricotta, served with sage and hazelnut butter
  • tagliatelle with sausage sauce
  • tiramisu
  • white pasta served with local cold cuts and cheeses

I look forward to welcoming you to the cookery course dedicated to lovers of leavened bread and fresh homemade pasta.

We’ll start by making my white pizza, fragrant and soft, to be enjoyed with local cured meats and cheeses. We’ll then get our hands dirty making two types of fresh pasta: one filled with ricotta, served with butter, sage and hazelnuts, and tagliatelle accompanied by a rich sausage sauce.

We’ll round off the course on a sweet note by making a traditional classic together: tiramisu.

A hands-on and engaging experience to learn techniques, secrets and authentic flavours, in an atmosphere of conviviality and a passion for cooking.

What a wonderful 3 hours in great company. We learned so much, can't wait to try pasta making for the first time when we get home. Highly recommended, thank you 🥰

We had such a lovely time with Stefania and her son! Perfect hosts for this experience(: they welcomed us in to their home and showed how to make two varieties of pasta dishes. They provided delicious appetizers including a fresh made focaccia and traditional Sicilian options to put with it. Not to mention the tiramisu she made for dessert was the best we’ve ever had!! During our lunch we were also given lots of recommendations for local places to see the views of Messina. I would recommend this experience to all! 10/10!

This was such a fun experience! Stefania welcomed us into her home as if we were family! She taught us how to make pasta but the experience felt like so much more. I cannot wait to test my pasta making skills once I am home.

Amazing experience, we highly recommend Stefania! We booked last minute, the night before, and she messaged us right away confirming our booking. Having a small group allowed for a personal and intimate experience, and she and her son made it seem so easy! She made us the best focaccia we have had in Italy and prepared a charcuterie board and wine to enjoy before the pasta. And the pasta!! It was unforgettable (both because we got to make it ourselves, and the way she prepared it for us) and I don’t think I will ever have a better tiramisu. If you are even considering taking a cooking class while in Sicily, you have to go to Stefania!

My Mom, two daughters and I attended a cooking class in Stefania’s beautiful home accompanied by her son. The menu was excellent and her hospitality was even better. We all made fresh pasta from scratch as well as tiramisu. We were served wonderful appetizers while she prepared the rest of the meal accompanied by wine. Stefania is the sweetest lady and absolutely loves to cook! A passion that was passed down to her from her mother! I highly recommend booking a class with Stefania! We were all sad to leave her house! This was the highlight of our 20 day trip to the Mediterranean!

I am Stefania, a teacher with a great passion for cooking, an art that for me represents much more than just preparing dishes. Cooking is love, tradition, sharing, and friendship. I enjoy creating both sweet and savory dishes, with a particular focus on leavened products, which require patience and dedication. The traditional cuisine of my beloved Sicily is my deepest source of inspiration: the recipes passed down from my grandmother and mother are treasures I strive to preserve and share. Through cooking, I express care and affection, keeping family and cultural traditions alive. Often, the dishes I prepare tell a story, a connection to my roots and to the people I love. For me, cooking is a moment of togetherness, an opportunity to share not only food but also emotions, friendship, and precious memories.
