In the even recent past people went for flowers on the Murgia Barese attracted more by their usefulness than by their beauty.
Almost all medicines were derived from plants, based on ancient superstitions many herbs were attributed magical powers. Even today, flowers and herbs retain their magic, the course aims to recover the "historical memory" in order to prepare sweets and herbal teas with them. Together I will show you the preparation of short pastry with flowers, an herbal infusion, and cremè brulè with thyme. And at the table we will taste the sweets and a traditional dish: mashed white broad beans with chicory.
