We had an incredible experience La Cesarina Claudia and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. We were welcome in their private home and treated like we have known them forever. Like family! Claudia was so patient and kind as we learned how to make the pastas. They were incredible hosts offering lovely snacks, different wines, and even a small gift. Our dinner with them was full of laughs. It was an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful!

Un'esperienza fantastica quella vissuta stasera con la Cesarina Claudia e suo marito Francesco. L'attenzione ai minimi dettagli dalla sistemazione della tavola fino alla preparazione dei piatti ci hanno riempito gli occhi,prima, e la pancia, poi, di bellezza e bontà. Ma dire che la cucina di Claudia sia ottima sarebbe scontato; non lo è invece raccontare della generosità sua e dellla sua famiglia, della felicità e del sorriso con i quali ti fanno entrare a casa loro, di come, al termine dell'antipasto, sembra di conoscerli da sempre. Se vi trovate a Spoleto non potete non passarli a trovare e non farvi travolgere dalla loro passione per il buon cibo e dai racconti legati alle loro origini. Ad maiora!

Wonderful experience!! After 2 weeks in Italy in several cities with many other tours and experiences, I can honestly say that Claudia’s cooking class was a true highlight. Claudia and Francesco graciously welcomed our group into their home with such warmth and kindness. We had various levels of cooking experience, and it was enjoyable for all. At the end, we sat down together for an amazing meal, which included our homemade pastas and tiramisu. This class would be fantastic for families, friends, colleagues, or any other small groups. Highest recommendation!

Consigliatissimo! Eravamo in giro per l’Umbria e volevamo provare la cucina tipica home made, ma non avremmo mai immaginato un’esperienza come questa: abbiamo avuto quello che cercavamo e molto di più, gustando uno splendido pranzo umbro, preparato secondo la miglior tradizione e condito da tante chiacchiere e risate! Claudia e suo marito Francesco sono ospiti delicati, generosi e accoglienti, ci hanno subito fatto sentire benvenuti ed è stato come ritrovarsi tra vecchi amici. La cucina di Claudia poi è squisita, a cominciare dagli ingredienti di eccellenza, che nella maggior parte dei casi provengono dall’orto e dalle stalle/cortili di casa, per continuare con la maestria della loro combinazione in un menù che è un susseguirsi di sapori avvolgenti, che si accordano agli ottimi vini locali, per finire con un amore e un rispetto per il territorio che traspare in ogni piatto. Da provare assolutamente!

Claudia and her family provided us one of our most memorable days in Italy. We have visited Italy many times and always considered taking a cooking class, but this is our first time doing so and we couldn't have been any happier. Claudia was truly a great choice to guide us through our pasta/tiramisu making class. Her family being a part of the experience made it even better. While I have a good command of the kitchen and Jacqui is a great baker, we've never attempted to make fresh pasta. Claudia's instruction has changed that because we now have plans to start making pasta from scratch on a regular basis. After guiding us through the making of our dishes, came the best part, the wonderful family meal we shared. As an Italian-American, our time around her dinner table was reminiscent of most family dinners that I grew up enjoying. Her generous antipasti, which included homemade prosciutto and capicola, inventive crostini and generous wine pours, could simply not be beat. On your next trip to Umbria, it will pay you to seek out Claudia for your cooking experience. We feel like we've made friends with her and her family for life.

My family and I recently tried Cesarine for the first time. We were so pleased, the evening was everything we hoped for and more! Claudia and Francesco welcomed us into their lovely home. They had all the supplies ready to go and took us through the basics of pasta making. It was a true "hands-on" experience. Claudia patiently explained how to roll out the freshly made dough then form it into three different types of pasta, with three different sauces. It was clear there was a lot of effort and thought put into planning our special evening. As delicious as the appetizers and the pasta we all created, the real treat was getting to know each other over a leisurely "slow food" dinner. My kids, both young adults, were impressed and made a real connection. At the end of the meal we even got out a special deck of cards and played a few hands of "briscola". I highly recommend this experience over another fancy restaurant or other routine night out while in Italy.

The cooking class with Claudia was one of the highlights of our trip to Spoleto. She and her husband Franceso met us in Old Town Spoleto. We took a lovely history stroll up to the Rocca, and then went shopping in the Piazza Mercato. We were able to go in to small shops with authentic ingredients that we wouldn't have understood on our own .She then drove us to her home in the lovely countryside, where we put on aprons and got to work ! We made pasta, and then 2 sauces , both with local ingredients. We had prosecco and a HUGE antipasto , and then sat down to dinner, wine and conversation . The two of us felt so welcomed. And we learned a simple pasta we will make again at home . Our DELICIOUS meal ended with a homemade tiramisu and amaro. At that point , happy and stuffed , they drove us back to our hotel . It was a fanatastic , much recommended , experience! We left feeling we had made new friends!! Grazie Claudia and Francesco !!

It has been an unforgettable experience that had brought me to tear from happiness. To be so welcomed in a residence of such a kind and warm people. Claudia is gifted and so Profesional, gathering years of experience and knowledge of local traditional food, that has been passed through many generations. She taught us how to make scrumptious Umbrian dishes, all made with local produce of her familiy's farm. Her husband didn't rest for a minute, doing everything possible, to make us feel at home. I highly recommend to spend an afternoon at Claudia's, if you guys appreciate Italian cuisine and hospitality. You'll never forget it and hope it won't end.

This was by far one of the most exciting experiences I've had. Claudia and her family are the most warm people, with endless generosity and big heart. We came (my wife and myself) for three hours cooking class and dinner, and could hardly leave after five hours. Claudia is gifted cook with huge endless knowledge about Umbria's traditional food. She opened her heart and house for us, and made us feel so special. We tasted everything her family make - their own sausages, vegetables, eggs, cheese, etc. We went to see her parents farm with all the live stock and agriculture. To sum it up, if you love the good life, good company, great wine and food - do yourself a favor and go to spend an afternoon at Claudia's.
