Hi from Claudia!

"I have always loved my territory and its products. My father cultivated the land and raised animals, so in my family we have always been used to eating excellent quality products and km 0. From the moment I got married, I continued the family tradition re-proposing the typical dishes that my father used to prepare for us and my guests are always happy when they are invited for lunch or dinner."

Sorry it took me so long to write this review but being gone for six week and returning with a cold we are just regaining normalcy, and honestly, I am at a loss for words! It was the most amazing highlight of our trip to Italy. We were fortunate enough to have three classes with Claudia and Francesco over three weeks. They opened their home and their hearts to us, and it was like being with cherished family. Learning to make Italian food in their home was a refresher course for me having grown up with Italian parents, but it was a way for my husband to learn how to make some Italian dishes that he would never allow me to teach him. It was so much fun cooking together, then especially enjoying the fruits of our labor with good food, conversation and a reminder of the Italian Culture I grew up with love. I highly recommend booking with Claudia for an experience you will cherish forever. Thank you, Claudia, and Francesco, for your warmth and hospitality. Grazie dal profondo del nostril cuore

We just spent an unforgettable evening with Claudia, her husband Francesco and their sweet daughter at their home and farm. All the ingredients we used were either from their farm and made by their family (eg. olive oil, blackberry jam, white wine, pate, eggs, prosciutto) or sourced within their community (eg. truffles, cheese, flour, red wine). We chose the hands-on cooking class with three Umbrian dishes but it actually was more like five or six different dishes with the different appetizers. We each had our own workstations with all the ingredients that we needed to make the pasta, truffle sauce, lentil and sausage stew, tiramisu and three different appetizers. With the patient guidance of Claudia we created an incredible three course spread! We sat and ate everything we made alongside the family and washed it down with wine and delicious coffee. We traded stories about our lives, jobs, family history and the nuances of our countries. Before we chose to go with Claudia, we spent several hours researching the many options available for a hands-on cooking experience in Umbria through the many different platforms and Claudia’s offering had the most authentic experience, the most recipes and the best value. We made the right choice to learn from Claudia, a certified Cesarine. We now have the skills to recreate this meal and treat our own family to a traditional Italian dinner when we get home. I should also mention that the drive through the Umbrian countryside will blow your mind! Give yourself extra time to explore the surrounding communities. Saluti!

We had a wonderful experience with Claudia G. From the moment she greeted us outside her home we knew we had made the right choice. She was lovely and her passion for food, her culture and sharing it with others was incredible. The 5 of us ranged quite a bit in our cooking abilities, she made us all comfortable. Snd we had lots of fun! And sharing a meal with she and her husband after cooking with her will be a highlight from our Umbrian vacation.

I can't say enough wonderful things about our cooking experience with Claudia! From the moment we stepped into her home, we felt warmly welcomed as we embarked on an unforgettable culinary journey through Umbrian cuisine. We began by preparing Lentils with Sausages, and as that simmered, we learned how to make homemade Strengozzi pasta with a delicious truffle sauce. While the pasta dried, we crafted a delightful Tiramisu for dessert. Next up were the appetizers—bruschetta topped with ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, and sausage. Every step of the way, Claudia guided us with such grace and clarity, ensuring that my mom, my son, and I all had hands-on involvement in creating these delicious dishes. The food was simply outstanding! Claudia’s husband, Francesco, captured the entire experience with photos, giving us cherished memories to take home. After cooking, we sat together at their table to enjoy wine, cheese, salami, and Claudia's incredible homemade fig jam, along with the bruschetta we had prepared. The meal continued with the main course, followed by Tiramisu and coffee—a perfect ending to a wonderful evening. Claudia and Francesco were incredibly warm and easy to talk to. It truly felt like we were sharing dinner with family. I highly recommend this cooking class with Claudia; it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. And to top it off, Claudia gave us each a jar of her homemade fig jam as a thoughtful gift!

We had a fabulous time with Claudia and her husband. We were warmly welcomed in to their home and we prepared and ate a delicious meal. Claudia was expert at showing us how to prepare everything and we came away wanting to replicate what we ate when we get home. Aside from the great food, we had great fun chatting with Claudia about all things Italian and English. Highly recommend this experience!
