"I cook traditional dishes from Catania, my cuisine follows the seasons: vegetables and vegetables always and only in season that I buy at the historic markets" in piscaria "and" a fera o Luni "at zero kilometer. I cook fish" that passes "like this , if it is tuna season, it will be present on my table, if instead the Capone (lambuca) passes it there will be that; so for cuttlefish, squid or sea cicadas ".

We had a fantastic evening with Graziella and Andrea learning how to make different Italian pasta dishes from scratch (which were absolutely delicious!) as well as a homemade tiramisu which was the best tiramisu we have ever had! We had such a lovely evening getting to know Graziella and Andrea and learn about so much, all while drinking delicious Italian wine with a view of Mount Etna in the background! They also gave us some fabulous cocktail bar recommendations in Catania which we saw them at later that evening! Beautiful people, beautiful food and beautiful views- I highly recommend booking a cooking class with Graziella and Andrea to add a touch of proper Italian culture to your trip!

Andrea and Graziella and their son were wonderful! Valerius (son) walked us through Catania and pointed out the wonderful sights. Then we enjoyed making and eating homemade ravioli at their home. Andrea spoke to us about Sicily and we had wonderful conversation. This family was very welcoming, polite, and caring. I have a peanut allergy and they were very understanding. We would absolutely recommend them to others! It was a wonderful genuine experience in Catania.

Graziella and her husband Andrea were so lovely and welcoming. I had a one-on-one pasta making demo with them. Graziella taught me how to make busiate, maccheroni Siciliani, and ravioli with ricotta and pistachio. All recipes were delicious and easy I will definitely take the what I learned home with me and apply in my kitchen. The class lasted approximately 2 hours. I was welcomed with cafe, and during the class I was offered wine and water. We enjoyed the final pasta dishes on their lovely rooftop deck overlooking the city with Mt Etna in the background. As this was my first day in Sicily, Andrea was also very helpful by providing me tips and favorite spots for Sicilian favorites like cannoli, arancini, and local wine. He gave me a map with spots marked, most of which I visited and can confirm were absolutely worth visiting. This class was a great way to start my trip, for many reasons. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Grazie!

Grizella Catania/Market tour and cooking class - March 2025

We had an amazing experience at the cooking class in this lovely family's home in Sicily. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the atmosphere was so warm and friendly. The cooking class was both fun and informative, and we can't wait to try the recipes at home. This was one of the best experiences of our trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
