Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Meatballs
  • Vegetarian meatballs
  • Torta della nonna

Would you like to discover the secrets behind Milan’s most famous and much-loved meatballs? I look forward to welcoming you for a hands-on, relaxing and flavour-packed experience, immersed in Milanese culinary tradition but with a touch of seasonal creativity.

We’ll get our hands dirty to learn how to make authentic mondeghili, from preparing the mixture right through to achieving that perfect golden brown finish.

What we’ll be making: The traditional version: classic meat mondeghili, rich in history and flavour. The vegetarian version: a modern and delicious reinterpretation made with seasonal vegetables and melted cheese.

Whilst we’re busy preparing the meatballs, we’ll raise a glass together with a nice glass of wine accompanied by homemade taralli; we’ll finish on a sweet note with a slice of torta della nonna.

My passion for cooking began with flour and sugar, when baking was my way of finding comfort and lifting my spirits. That simple habit soon grew into a deeper curiosity, leading me to study cooking and earn a professional qualification as a chef. For a few years, I set that path aside to work in software and office environments, but today I have chosen to return to the kitchen with a renewed sense of purpose. I am very precise and love taking care of every detail, from preparation to plating. I enjoy experimenting with unusual combinations, inspired by my travels, by spices and techniques from around the world, and by my roots and our vegetable garden, which I cultivate with my partner. When the garden is especially generous, I turn the harvest into homemade preserves and preparations to enjoy over time. For me, cooking means combining precision, creativity, travel and the scent of the earth.
