In this hands-on experience, we’ll start from the basics: we’ll learn how to make the perfect dough, step by step, and then put the art of folding into practice. Once the dough has had time to rise, you’ll choose the quality ingredients to top your pizza, creating unique combinations. But that’s not all! Whilst the pizza bakes in the oven, you can enjoy appetisers and savour excellent wines in good company. Finally, it will be time to enjoy your creation, all in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Because, as everyone knows, pizza always puts you in a good mood! An unforgettable experience that will make you smile with every bite.

- Filomena was an amazing cooking instructor. I felt right at home with her and her family in the kitchen! She showed me so many different techniques for the pasta shapes. Would highly recommend!
- We had a wonderful time with Filomena Cotugno at her cooking class at her lovely home. She was a patient & fun teacher. We made tiramisu & pasta for two dishes. Her daughter was there to help with any language issues & was very sweet. She also provided appetizers & drinks! All of the food we made was excellent & we enjoyed it immensely. Her husband joined us for the meal so it could be a family affair. She shared with us some of her homemade olive oil & limoncello! She even took the time to show us around her beautiful hometown & helped with transportation getting to her house. We would highly recommend Filomena & the Cesarine cooking classes!!
- Big thank you to Filomena and her daughter for a fantastic evening. The cookery class was amazing and we got to learn new skills and tasted foods we had not tried before. We made two types of pasta, tiramisu and bruschetta. Then had the pleasure of eating these with Filomena and her daughter (who was a very good translator- thank you so much!) I would recommend this experience to anyone regardless of any culinary knowledge as Filomena was very generous with her time and talent to help us create wonderful vegetarian food. I’m looking forward to creating these dishes when I get home. This evening has been a highlight of our holiday. Thank you x
- Filomena was an amazing host. 10/10 experience. I ended up being delayed causing me to be late and she was very understanding, even helped with suggesting solutions for transportation. I got to cook and enjoy this experience with her and her daughter. They had welcome snacks, appetizers, wine, and desserts for me. We made several different pasta shapes and 2 different sauces. All the food tasted amazing, and seeing the different teqniques and learning about the ingriedents shows how thre is so much more to cooking Throughout the experience, I was learning so much but also deeply enjoying the experience as a whole as we were all getting to know each other, sharing stories, and enjoying each others presence. I went solo to this experience, and I so welcome and comfortable. While enjoying our courses I felt just like family as we laughed, talked and enjoyed each others company. At the end they offered to show me around their town, and told me about different historic things. I was provided with pictures of us cooking, and being show around. Filomena and her daughter are both wonderful people and amazing cooks. Mettinf them and this experience made my whole entire trip and was truly the highlight. I cannot recommend this experience more, if you are in the Matera area this is a MUST DO! This was the most unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. I’m so excited to pass on stories about my experience with friends and families, as well as the recipes I was taught!
- Filomena and her family are absolutely wonderful ,so kind and welcoming. I had difficoluty finding other cooking-classes as Im traveling on my own and they Need two people to book. Filomena allowed me to book and attend on my own. Filomena welcomed me, made time to teach and share with me.
