Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Ricotta and spinach ravioli
  • Tagliatelle with tomato sauce

We’ll welcome you with an aperitif before we get our hands dirty.

We’ll start by preparing the dough to make tagliatelle and ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach; we’ll then prepare the sauces: tomato sauce for the tagliatelle and butter and sage for the ravioli. We’ll enjoy our creations, accompanying the meal with a glass of fine wine. Finish on a high note with a traditional dessert and a coffee.

N.B. The pasta sauces can be varied on request.

We had such a wonderful time at Giada’s cooking class! From the moment we arrived at her home, we felt so welcome and comfortable. She was warm, patient, and made the whole experience feel like we were cooking with a friend. We learned how to make fresh tagliatelle and cavatelli from scratch, and it was so much fun to get our hands involved and discover the secrets behind authentic Italian pasta. Giada explained everything clearly, shared interesting stories about Italian food traditions, and made sure we both had a chance to participate. The best part was sitting down together at the end and enjoying the pasta we had prepared. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed, personal, and full of genuine Italian hospitality. If you’re visiting Milan and want to experience more than just sightseeing, we highly recommend Giada’s cooking class. It’s a beautiful way to discover Italian culture through food, and we left with full hearts, happy memories, and a new appreciation for homemade pasta!

We had an absolutely wonderful cooking class in Milan with my sister and my mother. We prepared a delicious tiramisu and two different types of fresh pasta, and we were also welcomed with a personalised aperitivo that was such a lovely touch. Giada and Vito were incredibly warm, welcoming and attentive throughout the entire experience. They generously shared with us the secrets of Italian cuisine while making the class fun, interactive and truly memorable. We also had the opportunity to exchange stories about our cultures and our shared love for gastronomy, which made the experience feel even more special and personal. Everything was perfect, from the food to the atmosphere and the hospitality. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Milan , it was one of the highlights of our trip!

My roots lie between Puglia and Calabria, lands that have taught me the value of time, sharing, and cooking as an act of love. My journey in the kitchen began alongside my grandmother and mother, where I learned the first tricks and traditional recipes, developing an appreciation for local, seasonal ingredients and respect for the raw materials. I especially love simple yet distinctive dishes, like fava beans and chicory, which capture the essence of my land. Handmade fresh pasta is my favorite language: from orecchiette and cavatelli, to maccheroni al ferretto, and to stuffed pasta like tortellini and ravioli, as well as trofie and fettuccine. Kneading, shaping, and cooking is a ritual that connects past and present. My goal is to share and celebrate my family’s authentic traditions, with an eye on sustainability and openness to innovation, while never losing connection with my roots.
