Venice and its lagoon have been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. It’s a magical city with a thousand canals and a rich artistic patrimony. Venice enjoys a simple culinary tradition but one that is steeped in history. 


It’s here that we meet Cesarina Anna, who feels very lucky to live in such a unique city like Venice and to have come from a family where cooking has always been a passion. She likes to cook for herself, but above all for others. Her cooking very much reflects the local territory, and her home has a magnificent terrace where she welcomes her guests.

It was a wonderful experience to not only learn about traditional Venezian cooking, but also spend and share a wonderful time with Anna. Anna is experienced in cooking and can explain not only the techniques, but also how she does it including the "feel" and the tips that make the difference. She is also a born-venetian who knows so much about the ingredients, where to buy them, and can talk about her beloved city and the Venetia region in such a personal and warm way. Thank you for this wonderful time, I won't forget the Mussels with Raddichio and the Tiramisu!

Meravigliosa esperienza con la Cesarina Anna che ci ha accolto con calore e con la sua travolgente energia nella sua casa a Canareggio. Un angolo di pace e di verde nel cuore di Venezia. Con 6 amiche abbiamo gustato un ottimo pranzo della tradizione veneziana : aperitivo con Spritz, Sarde in saor e risotto al nero di seppia. Tutto squisito. Con Anna siamo entrate nella realtà del territorio, con racconti, descrizioni, scambi di ricette e soprattutto ci siamo sentite, se pur per qualche ora, delle amiche veneziane. Bellissima esperienza dal punto di vista culinario e di contatto umano. Esperienza consigliatissima. Grazie Anna.

I had a bit of trouble finding Anna's home, because Google Maps shows a wrong address. With a few minutes delay from me, Anna welcomed me very warmly and then we immediately started making tiramisu, pizza and foccacia. Anna explained and showed me all the steps very precisely and I was able to do everything myself. In between, we had a small break with delicious bruschetta and prosecco before we started with the pizza dough. The result was a very good pizza, foccacia and tiramisu meal, which we enjoyed on Anna's beautiful terrace. I learned a lot of tricks and I am glad to have done this course and will replicate it at home. Many thanks to Anna !

The experience was great, Anna is an excellent host. We enjoyed a lot and learned new cooking skills and got to share the Italian culture for an evening. We highly recommend it!

Anna was a great host and teacher! The Sausage/Riddicco Pasta, Shrimp Ravioli and creamy Tiramisu, were delicious!

It was a lot of fun! Really good way to spend time in Venice and learn something new. Unique and nice experience. Tiramisu, we made together was the best I have tried so far. And dishes with self made pasta also were very special. Really great that personal preferences were taken into account and everything was explained so that I can repeat and experiment at home :)

My family had a wonderful first night in Venice with Anna. She welcomed us into her home and taught us how to make tiramasu, pizza and focaccia bread. She was very well organized, an amazing cook, and super friendly. Each of us made our own personal pizzas with fresh ingredients and they were delicious. And the tiramisu was superb. Thank you to Anna for making our first night in Venice memorable.

We had a great time making pasta and tiramisu with our Cesarina, Anna! It was very informative and we've gone on to make our own pasta at home - delicious. Anna is very friendly and we learned not only about the pasta but also about life in Venice from a life long resident!

I couldn’t have asked for a better evening! I am coeliac (gluten free) but organised the cooking class as a present for my boyfriend (who is not coeliac). Anna our host set up separate stations so I could make fresh gluten free pasta and my boyfriend could make normal pasta! She bought us fresh seafood from the market and plenty of wine! What a great experience - thanks so much Anna and Cesarine!!
