Patrizia lives in a beautiful and timeless place. An enchanted city, which attracts millions of tourists every year and is known for its beauty all over the world. Above all, it is a land filled with art and culture, even from a gastronomic point of view.
Of course, we're talking about Venice, the city of a thousand canals. Our Cesarina welcomes us to the area of Saint Zaccaria, near the church of the same name, a magnificent renaissance building dating back to the 15th century. The main tourist attractions (piazza San Marco, la Basilica, il ponte dei Sospiri) are just a few hundred meters away and Patrizia’s home is also a great starting point for exploring vicoli del Castello, a less well known - but equally fascinating - area of Venice.

My specialities

- Sarde in Saor (fried fresh sardine fillets marinated in softly cooked white onions, usually with vinegar, raisins and pine nuts.)

You will be able to learn how to cook from a real Venetian, in a real Venetian home, with real Venetian culture and history. Are you kidding me? It's a no brainer. This was the most comfortable, fun, and engaging experience I've had in Venice. I came back with my heart full. Full with laughs, memories, and pasta.

We were paired with a Venetian couple in their home and an translator tagged along to help with the language barrier. This was the highlight of my time in Venice. Irene was communicative and served as the liaison between the family and myself. The meal was wonderful and they accommodated allergies if one was issue. The host was so kind, funny and loved sharing their culture with us! I would highly recommend to all visiting Venice.

We had the best time cooking with Patricia. She welcomed us into her home and we made bruschetta and pasta and fish, meat and dessert. It was a once in a lifetime experience and one we’ll never forget.

Highly reccomandable: unique and excellent culinary experience, we simply loved everything. We were welcomed in the house of Patrizia with wine and a tour the beautiful house. We had the chance to cook together some amazing local food, connect & share our personal experiences and above all have a good time.

This experience with our Cesarina Patrizia was far beyond what we expected. The Cesarina and her husband graciously welcomed us into their home which was one of the most spectacular Venetian homes I have ever seen. They spoke fairly good English but still had a translator who was very friendly and fun. We cooked a whole fresh fish (typical Venetian dish), risotto, and bruschetta and had plenty of wine. We got to eat on their patio which overlooked the tops of most of the homes and we could even see San Marco's tower! It was so much fun we didn't want to leave! This was by far one of the best things we did on our trip of Italy!

Patrizia was such a wonderful host. She made us feel so welcome in her home and everything we cooked was delicious. She didn't speak any English but it did not hinder our experience at all. I will definitely book something like this again for our next trip to Italy!

We had an amazing time last week with Patricia and Antonio. They were both very sweet and we learned a lot about the Italian cuisine. The house is amazing, it was like a little museum! I will never be able to eat Italian restaurant food ever again , no Italian food I have ever had has ever come close to Patrizia's food , so delicious , no words can describe it. Patrizia and Adriano welcomed us into their home and then had us laughing the whole night ! Patrizia is a riot and Adriano plays off her , I feel so lucky for having had them as our hosts. They will forever hold a place in my heart. I cannot express how fortunate I feel to have had such a unique dining experience , thank you Le Cesarine!

We were 4 people and we had a lovely evening. Patrizia had clearly put a lot of effort into the meal and it was delicious. The courses, such as the sardines with onions and the pasta, both of which were fabulous, were foods we had known were typical of the region but had not had in any restaurant. The setting was just wonderful - a terrace outside their apartment from which we could see much of the city - a really unique experience. Patricia and Adriano had also invited a friend of theirs, Eliana (I probably have the spelling wrong), a lovely young woman who spoke good English so even though their own English was somewhat halting we were able to have conversations that were interesting and fun. One amusing note: we had a very hard time finding their address and actually went into a carbineiri station for help as our phone did not work. The officer googled the address and we were able to find it. When we arrived only Adriano was there and we were a little concerned. The women arrived within a few minutes and it turned out that they were out looking for us. They actually saw us in the nearby square but were unsure that it was us. So we all had a good laugh about that. In all, it was a very nice experience and since we were all flying home the next day it was a fine way to end our vacation.
