For us it was the first time that we booked a cooking workshop at someone's home. We’ve had a great time and learned a lot. We didn't really know what to expect in advance. On the 9th floor we entered a house full of beautiful paintings and antique items. The table was already set and in the spacious and clean kitchen everything was ready to start. Our group of 9 people was a bit larger than normal, but this fitted well in the kitchen. Pina was patient and her assistant Fatima helped where necessary. We first made an authentic tiramisu before we started with the pasta. After a lot of kneading and the necessary corrections from Pina in our gnocchi folding skills, we enjoyed a drink with a cheese, tapenade and Italian sausage. In the meantime, Pina put the finishing touches to the sauces, taking the enthusiasts through the process. Once at the table we enjoyed our home-cooked Italian meal with of course a suitable wine. A wonderful experience, Pina is very hospitable and knowledgeable; we’ve had a great time!

We attended the evening "The art of the Italian Aperitivo with a local: Learn & Enjoy in Palermo" with Signora Pina. Just saying the food we prepared with Pina was outstanding is an understatement - and writing this review is making me hungry for them again! The dishes included a yeasted vegetarian rolls with cheese and rocket, a ground pork with other cheeses, speck ham wrapped around prunes, a gorgonzola walnut dip and more. My description does not do justice to the finished items and there were other ingredients, so take notes. Every item was flavorful and well-balanced, and served with Italian wine. Frankly, I had no idea it was going to be as good as this. The setting - in Pina's aristocratic apartment with a balcony view of Mount Pellegrino where we ate - was never expected and the most memorable of anything we ever did in Sicily, and clearly the best cooking experience - and we have gone to quite a few! Bravo Pina!

Our experience with Pina was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into her home, she warmly welcomed us with a genuine smile and a contagious enthusiasm for Italian cuisine. Pina's passion for cooking shone through as she graciously shared her knowledge of traditional Italian dishes, patiently guiding us through each step with meticulous attention to detail. What truly stood out was Pina's dedication to ensuring we not only learned the recipes but also understood the cultural significance behind each dish. Her kitchen became a classroom of flavors and techniques, where every ingredient was a story waiting to be told. Beyond the cooking itself, Pina's hospitality was unparalleled. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering insights into local traditions and recommending hidden gems in her beloved town. By the end of our session, we didn't just leave with full stomachs but with cherished memories and newfound skills. If you have the opportunity to learn from Pina, seize it without hesitation. Her warmth, expertise, and genuine love for sharing Italian culinary heritage make her a gem in the world of cooking experiences. Grazie mille, Pina, for an unforgettable day filled with laughter, learning, and the most delicious food we've ever tasted. We can't wait to recreate your recipes and share them with our friends and family.

I spent a lovely morning cooking with Pina. She and her husband have a beautiful apartment in Palermo, I really felt like I was in Sicily. We made frittata, pasta busiate and sauce, and tiramisu. Pina served a fantastic artichoke pate and wine, of course, as we cooked. I’m embarrassed to admit that even though I am half Italian I had never made fresh pasta before. Pina taught me well because everything was delicious.
