Food Tour: discover the best places where to taste the finest local food & wine

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Tasting of Local Specialties

The food and wine experience includes a walk through two Umbrian medieval villages, Panicale and Paciano, both listed among "The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy." The tour begins in Paciano with a breakfast or snack of typical Umbrian pastries and flatbreads, such as torcolo, crostata and torta al testo with prosciutto or local cured meats. After a wonderful walk of about 3 km, surrounded by nature and overlooking the lake, we will arrive in Panicale (walking or driving option). Here, we will visit artisan workshops and enjoy tastings of typical dishes and wines from the best local wineries in the charming Piazza della Fontana.

Dear Marisa ❤️ We are so grateful to you for such an incredible and unforgettable experience. The atmosphere you created was so joyful, warm, and full of your wonderful energy! The ravioli you taught us to prepare was truly special and absolutely delicious. And the tiramisu… we honestly had no idea it could reach such an extraordinary level of flavor! Everything was absolutely perfect. Above all, your hospitality was exceptional. You welcomed us into your home so warmly and treated us with incredible kindness and generosity. You made us feel as though we were guests of an old friend—and we truly didn’t want to leave! This was undoubtedly the most enjoyable experience we had during our trip to Italy. Thank you for making it so special and unforgettable ❤️ With love and appreciation, The Ianculovic Family

My favorite dishes are those made with long-fermentation doughs. One of my specialties is the Easter cheese bread, infused with the warm and inviting aromas of cinnamon and cloves. All my pasta is handmade, paired with simple yet flavorful sauces, such as *aglione* and white Chianina ragù. For desserts, I often prepare zuppa inglese, made with the traditional Umbrian torcolo soaked in alchermes, and salame del re, two delightful classics of Italian tradition.
