Your experience

    Cooking is tradition and connection to the land, and in this experience I want to introduce you to the flavors of the province of Biella, Alessio is from Biella, with three iconic recipes. The Coggiola-style Paletta, a lightly smoked shoulder ham, with San Carlino cheese. The Macagn and Bramaterra risotto and the paste di meliga (biscuits) with Andorno's Ratafià, an excellent cherry liqueur.

    A tasting of the upper Piedmont that tells of hills planted with vines, mountains of pastures of the Pezzate Rosse of Oropa, and people who legend has it had bears as pets.

    Overall the tour was great and was my first tour where I was the sole attendee. Sara and Alessio were very enthusiastic and showed me a number of places alongside the rich history that accompanies them. For their first tour, it was a lovely experience. With time, they shall be well rehearsed and develop a better relationship with the food stops to ensure a smooth experience. I highly recommend them both if you want to feel like a local with all the tips!

    Tradition is an innovation that has brought us this far. Starting from the local raw materials, I transform them following both the lessons from my mother and grandmother and the techniques learned through studies and travels. For me, cooking is primarily about conviviality, sharing, and exchange... Always accompanied by a good glass of wine! I prefer first courses and baked goods, smoked meats, and recently I have been producing homemade cured meats. My favorite dish... It's the next one I'll have the opportunity to try!
