Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Mixed bruschetta
  • Tagliatelle or Ravioli
  • Cantucci (traditional biscuits) and Vin Santo

A journey into the heart of Tuscan cuisine. We will begin with bruschetta, celebrated by the flavors of the earth: black cabbage, zolfini beans, ripe tomatoes, or simply garlic and freshly pressed oil. Then we'll knead tagliatelle or ravioli, as the women of the house did on Sundays, amid chatter and scents that envelop the kitchen. We will end with almond cantucci, crisp and golden, to be enjoyed dipped in vinsanto. An authentic experience, between memory and flavor.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hands on experience. Dina and her family were very warm and welcoming. If you’ve never made pasta before or if you have this is a great was to see how the locals make it. Their hospitality was above and beyond as they shared their home with us and even their sweaters as the wind picked up and became a little chilly. Their kindness did not go unnoticed. If you’re in Arezzo (or near by) you should book this excursion you won’t be disappointed. Tell them Hi from Helen and Pat!

This class was our group’s introduction to Tuscany, and we spent the rest of our trip comparing every meal and experience to what we had at Dina’s. Spoiler alert: everything else fell short! Beyond the fun activity and the sublime food and wine, Dina made us feel so welcome and at ease that our time practically flew by. A wonderful chef, a great teacher, and a hostess without parallel. You won’t be disappointed.

One of our favourite experiences of the trip and an absolute must do! Dina and her family were so kind and welcoming, we felt very at home! Loved it🍝

If I could give this class 10 stars I would! I have attended other cooking classes in Italy, and this by far was the best. Our small group was invited into the home and we were treated like family. Everything we made was delicious, and Dina even shared goodies that she had made for Easter. I would be happy to recommend this class to anyone who wants to not only learn how to make true Italian dishes, but also to see what it is like to live the Tuscan life!!

Our passion for cooking is deeply rooted in traditional recipes that we’ve always prepared as a family: homemade pasta, ravioli, Sunday sauce, pies, and the classic desserts of festive occasions like Easter. Over the years, the desire to challenge ourselves has grown, leading us to explore international dishes and more innovative recipes — always with a focus on wholesome ingredients, preferably from our own garden whenever possible.
