Discover the authentic flavors of the local market, select the freshest ingredients, and then dive into a fun cooking class

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Polenta e soppressa ( Soppressa Typical Veronese salami)
  • Tagliatelle with tomato and confit cherry tomatoes
  • Sbrisolona ( cake with almonds and mais flour )

A fun way to learn about the specialties and typical products of Verona is to visit a local market or shops, which offer a wide range of local and seasonal products. After our tour of the market, we will go to my house, just a few steps away from the historic center, where we'll enjoy a glass of wine and some snacks before heading to my kitchen. Together, we will prepare some traditional Veronese dishes, such as polenta and fresh pasta, always present on our tables. To conclude on a sweet note, we will prepare the Sbrisolona: a typical Verona dessert made with almonds and corn flour.

It was such a great experience, me and my girlfriend learned so much about cooking- the italian tradition. Michaela is a great teacher, very pleasant, loving and she explains well every part, She is also very considerate and helpful to anything that might bother you about the food or the cooking itself. We had so much fun and highly recommend this cooking class :)

We had a fantastic time cooking (vegan) Italian food with Michela! One of the highlights of our Italian honeymoon, and that's saying something because it was an amazing trip! Michela is super sweet and we loved hearing some of her thoughts on Italy and food. We didn't need to know Italian because she speaks English, but she did entertain some of my efforts (I'm working on it!), which I appreciate haha. Also, the food we made was delicious- we definitely want to try recreating it. I was so happy she was able to make the menu vegan (without flavor tradeoff). She was really patient with us, two people who don't really cook, and we had fun trying to get the pasta shape correct (some attempts were better than others, but hey, it was all tasty). The wine pairings from her friend were also tasty, and I appreciated the chance to try some local wine! Also, Michela made the best bruschetta I've ever had- amazing. Overall, we highly recommend the experience! Thank you so much, Michela!

We had the best time of our 10 day trip’s. Michela made us feel like a part of her family and I could not recommend this more!’

My mom and I spent the afternoon learning how to make pasta and tiramisu with Michela and it was a wonderful experience! Michela is not only very friendly and welcoming, she is so knowledgeable about food since she has spent many years as a private chef. It was fun to learn not just how to make the pasta and tiramisu but also her many tips and tricks along the way. The aperitivo served and everything we made was delicious. Michela was patient and kind and excited to share her home and expertise with us. I would 100% her to anyone visiting Verona. Grazie Michela for the best time!

Michela is from Verona, she has always lived in Verona, a city of art and love. Her apartment is a few steps from Piazza Brà, in the city center. The hills with its vineyards, Lake Garda with centuries-old olive trees and the Lessini mountains surround the monuments of a city with magical views. Her passion for cooking is a family legacy. Grandmother Laura and mother Bibi involved grandchildren and children in the preparation of long and short fresh pasta, lasagna, tortellini and tortelli, meat main courses with side dishes and desserts. "In the kitchen I try to convey the value of simplicity, but at the same time I am always ready to experiment with new dishes, mainly using the typical products of the Verona area."
