Starting from Piazza Bra, we will walk to Castelvecchio, where we will visit the historic pastry shop of the same name. Marta and Michele will welcome us and introduce us to the typical sweets of the Veronese tradition. We will then continue along Corso Cavour towards Porta Borsari. As we walk down the street, we will look up to spot the terrace of Palazzo Melegatti, home to the inventor of Pandoro, adorned with its distinctive stone Pandori. The enticing aroma of freshly baked bread will lead us to the historic De Rossi Bakery. After admiring Piazza delle Erbe, we will head towards my home, but not before stopping at the Antica Bottega del Vino for a taste of tradition. Once we arrive, we will roll up our sleeves and prepare gnocchi, a classic Veronese dish, to enjoy with a glass of wine.

I would like to express an extremely positive review for Cesarina Michela, who was able to give us an authentic and unforgettable experience. In her welcoming home, she received two Japanese clients with great warmth, accompanied by me as an interpreter, immediately demonstrating an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel comfortable. Michela stands out for her very high competence and impeccable professionalism: every gesture, every explanation, and every stage of the dish preparation were taken care of in the smallest detail. With passion and skill, she was able to convey the essence of Venetian culinary tradition, making every moment not only educational but also deeply engaging. Her kindness, combined with clear and attentive communication even towards those from a different culture, made the experience even more special. My Japanese clients were thrilled, fascinated not only by the quality of the dishes prepared, but also by the authenticity and humanity with which Michela shared her knowledge. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in true Venetian cuisine: Michela is not only an exceptional cook, but an extraordinary hostess capable of creating precious memories.

Hands down one of our favorite experiences in Northern Italy! Michela was a wonderful guide as we walked the streets of Verona, stopping for a sweet treat at a historic pastry shop and learning about Verona as we strolled and talked. We picked up fresh bread for lunch at a historic bakery, then headed back to Michela's house where we enjoyed a snack before we learned how to prepare delicious gnocchi! Our family had a great time as we all sat down for lunch, enjoying the gnocchi with 3 simple sauces. Michela also had prepared a traditional Srbisolona which she served for dessert. Highly recommend this experience. We are working on perfecting our gnocchi in our own kitchen!

Michela was absolutely wonderful- kind, warm, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She went above and beyond and my family had the most incredible experience walking Verona, cooking and eating with her. A gorgeous city and a fabulous experience!

Hello Michela, We want to thank you for such an amazing evening. All of your attention to the smallest detail including Andrew's distaste for nuts, and Jack being vegetarian was a really nice touch. Your home was lovely and warm and your kitchen was supremely equiped! From the bottom of our hearts thank you! Tisha and the boys PS out 3rd son arrived at 2:30pm the next day. 🙌 When you have time we would love to see the pictures.

Michela was great!! My husband and I learned a lot about Italian food culture in the few hours we spent with her. She served us local cheeses and soppressa. She made for us bigolo in tomato sauce, eggplant and cheese dish, and a peach tart. Everything was tasty! We helped a bit in making the eggplant dish. She gave me cooking tips I can use at home. And we spent a lot of time talking about our cultures. We highly recommend her and the Cesarine program.

Michela is from Verona, she has always lived in Verona, a city of art and love. Her apartment is a few steps from Piazza Brà, in the city center. The hills with its vineyards, Lake Garda with centuries-old olive trees and the Lessini mountains surround the monuments of a city with magical views. Her passion for cooking is a family legacy. Grandmother Laura and mother Bibi involved grandchildren and children in the preparation of long and short fresh pasta, lasagna, tortellini and tortelli, meat main courses with side dishes and desserts. "In the kitchen I try to convey the value of simplicity, but at the same time I am always ready to experiment with new dishes, mainly using the typical products of the Verona area."
