A food and wine tour for lovers of authenticity and local tradition.
Overlooking the Adige River, a stone's throw from the Arena, in an architecturally valuable building, is Verona's covered market. The market is dedicated to the sale of local and seasonal products, from meat to wine, from extra virgin olive oil to fruit and vegetables to delicatessen products. Walking among the various stalls we will discover Verona's traditions and grandmothers' recipes, and enjoy a sensory experience through tastings guided by local producers. Finally, we will buy the seasonal specialties proposed and prepared by the producers, to enjoy them comfortably seated in the dedicated spaces, indoors or in the courtyard overlooking the river. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- Michela was great!! My husband and I learned a lot about Italian food culture in the few hours we spent with her. She served us local cheeses and soppressa. She made for us bigolo in tomato sauce, eggplant and cheese dish, and a peach tart. Everything was tasty! We helped a bit in making the eggplant dish. She gave me cooking tips I can use at home. And we spent a lot of time talking about our cultures. We highly recommend her and the Cesarine program.
- Wonderful cooking experience with Michela, probably the best activity in our very busy week in Verona. Very much appreciated her kind hospitality and patience and the food we made was amazing. We have know hesitation in recommending this experience. Having never cooked before it exceeded all expectations. Just also to say what a wonderful person Michela is.
- Michaela was absolutely amazing! She welcomed us into her home with such courteousness, including significant accommodations to make our kids happy it was a great experience and we really enjoyed ourselves!
- The first time doing anything like this for me so wasn’t sure what to expect, pleasently surprise, Michaela was a fabulous hostess, she made us welcome from the very start , the food was wonderful and lots of handy hints and tips for us to use when back home . She is a special lady and I wish her all the best, when I return to Verona would definitely meet up with her xx
- Michela made us feel at home from the minute we walked through the door of her lovely home. She made 3 wonderful dishes which we sat down and shared with her. Very informative cooking demonstration as well. Would highly recommend this and would go back in a heartbeat.

Cesarina from 2021Location: Verona Languages: English, French, ItalianMichela is from Verona, she has always lived in Verona, a city of art and love. Her apartment is a few steps from Piazza Brà, in the city center. The hills with its vineyards, Lake Garda with centuries-old olive trees and the Lessini mountains surround the monuments of a city with magical views. Her passion for cooking is a family legacy. Grandmother Laura and mother Bibi involved grandchildren and children in the preparation of long and short fresh pasta, lasagna, tortellini and tortelli, meat main courses with side dishes and desserts. "In the kitchen I try to convey the value of simplicity, but at the same time I am always ready to experiment with new dishes, mainly using the typical products of the Verona area."
