Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
- Rice timbale
- Crocché
- Aversana Polish Cake
I welcome you to Caserta, just a stone’s throw from the magnificent Royal Palace.
Today I’m opening the doors to my kitchen to take you on a journey through the flavours and traditions of my homeland. Together we’ll get our hands dirty and prepare three delicacies from Campania’s culinary heritage: potato croquettes, rice sartù and the famous Aversan Polish cake, a sweet symbol of Aversa’s tradition. It will be a moment to enjoy together, amidst stories, aromas and the secrets of home cooking, just as we do as a family.
And, once our creations are ready, we’ll taste them together, sharing the pleasure of good food and good company, whilst gazing out at the splendid Royal Palace of Caserta.
I look forward to welcoming you and treating you to an authentic experience, full of flavours, traditions and hospitality!

- I booked a cooking class with Elisa to get our Naples tour off to the best possible start. The lesson was supposed to end at 8:30 PM, but at 10:30 PM we were still sitting in her home—is there anything else to say? It was exactly what I expected and even more: the moments of conviviality and humanity, the mutual exchange of life experiences, the empathy, the kindness of her family, and her all-around helpfulness (she even drove us to the train station in her own car). What I hoped to take away with me, beyond typical culinary information and a few more skills in the kitchen, was precisely this: genuineness! Thank you again, Elisa, we had a wonderful time ❤️
- Elisa was kind enough to arrange a last-minute class with me as a solo traveler when a previous booking had to cancel. She is well-versed on different types of local pizzas and desserts. Very welcoming and homey atmosphere!
- Elisa and her family welcomed our group into her home. We learned how to make tiramisu, pizza and bruschetta. We enjoyed the family atmosphere and sharing a meal! We will never forget this experience.
- I would give Elisa more than 5 stars if it were possible. I'd give her all the stars. She is an amazing cook. She taught us how to make bruschetta, pizza maghareta, pizza marina, and tiramisu. It was all amazing and delicious. Elisa was patient and understanding with us, even after I accidentally broke an egg yolk while trying to separate the white. She provided great tips and advice for each recipe. Most importantly, and unexpectedly, was the Neopolitan hospitality that she and her family showed our group. It was truly next level. They opened their beautiful and spacious home to us and treated us like dear, old friends. Our three hours with them went by so fast. We were disappointed when it was time to go back to our hotel, none of us wanted to leave. By the end we felt as though she and her family were now an extended part of our family. I hope they felt the same way we did.
- We had a wonderful evening in a warm and familiar atmosphere. The pizza was absolutely delicious and the recipes were creative and full of flavor. Everything was prepared with great care, making the whole experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!
