Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Grandma’s cavatelli
  • Caprese cake

For this cookery class, I’m opening the doors of my home in Naples, where I can’t wait to welcome my guests and share a genuine family experience with them. Together, we’ll discover how to make gnocchi, the quintessential Italian Sunday dish – one that evokes the scent of home, lavishly laid tables and tradition.

Through this experience, you’ll learn to make them just like a true Cesarina, following the teachings of my grandmother from Irpinia, the guardian of time-honoured techniques and recipes passed down through the generations. After learning all the secrets of cavatelli (or gnocchi), we’ll then move on to making Caprese cake, discovering the stories and anecdotes behind it.

Had a great cooking class with Rosa and Sean!! Rosa shared her food knowledge, grandmas recipes and her home with us. We will always have these wonderful memories to look back on!

This was so much fun ! The prepping and making pizza and other dishes . The couple was so helpful I learned more in this intimate adventure than doing anything else . Their knowledge and expertise was so uncommercial and far from touristy . Charming fun knowledgeable couple

We booked a private Neapolitan cooking class with Rosa and Sean on our honeymoon, and it was the highlight of our time in Naples. Both were wonderful teachers, patient, warm, and clearly passionate about their craft. They went well beyond technique. Along with showing us how to cook, they explained the history behind each recipe and the significance of the ingredients, which made the meal mean far more than just following steps. They also gave us excellent recommendations around Naples, which shaped the rest of our trip. We left full, happy, and with skills we'll actually use at home. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an authentic experience, not a tourist class.

For me, cooking means sharing: I love cooking for others and creating moments of togetherness. Originally from Avellino and Neapolitan by adoption, I’ve learned to combine my family traditions with the energy and vibrancy of the city. Ragù, genovese, pastiera, pasta and potatoes, caprese, escarole pizza, tiramisù, clams (and much more — the list would be endless!) are never missing from my table!
