    In this experience, you will enjoy a nice and vibrant Capo Market tour, one of the most popular outdoor markets in Palermo, where you will learn how to select on the stalls the best seasonal ingredients for our cooking class and as a Gastronome I will explain about the seasonality of the products, those typical of the territory and their varieties. Next, we will move back home for a hands-on cooking class on how to prepare a Sicilian starter, a First course of a fresh Sicilian pasta, and a Sicilian dessert. At the end of the class, we will enjoy these dishes for lunch, and in spring/summer season in my cozy terrace.

    Alice is an amazing teacher. She is warm and welcoming and is truly a gifted chef. She gives you ample opportunity to craft the recipes yourself, so you leave with a very strong understanding of how to make traditional Sicilian pastas. She and Francesco are also deeply knowledgeable about the slow foods movement and gastronomy, and have invaluable insights into traditional cuisine in Sicily and Italy. This experience was a definite highlight of my trip, and the meal we enjoyed together in her lovely home was the best I had during my stay in Palermo. Absolutely recommend!

    "I was passionate about cooking and food since I was a child, accomplices grandmother who loved to cook and the whole family who loves to eat well. I therefore decided to pursue a university career in the field of gastronomy. I have faced a multidisciplinary and holistic path that has treated the world of food at 360 o'clock. I love cooking for my family and for others, starting from the choice of recipes and the selection of ingredients. I like to experiment and I'm particularly passionate about pastry and leavened foods. I do research on ancient cookbooks and asking around, especially older ladies, their family recipes. Sicily, like all Italy, has an invaluable gastronomic heritage, whose recipes and preparations vary from house to house, not only between cities and provinces.
