Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

I will welcome you to my country home, amid fragrant citrus groves and Mediterranean scrub, with breathtaking views of Mount Etna. We will experience an authentic journey into Sicilian flavors by preparing together fresh tagliatelle with sausage and mushroom ragout, crispy bruschetta and an irresistible tiramisu. These are family recipes from Sundays spent around the table. After the preparation, we will enjoy an aperitif with local products and our bruschetta, and then enjoy the dishes on the panoramic terrace, between Etna and the sea, all the way to Taormina. Relaxed atmosphere, glass of wine in hand and, upon request, vegetarian options.

We had an amazing afternoon with Lucrezia! We learned so much about different types of flour and pasta, made our own fresh tagliatelle and tiramisu, and enjoyed a delicious aperitivo with a stunning view of Mount Etna. The whole experience was wonderful, and everything was perfectly organized. A special thank you to Lucrezia and her family for welcoming us into their home and making us feel so comfortable. We highly recommend this experience!

This was a highlight of our trip! The entire family including myself, my husband, and our children ages 10 and 12 loved every aspect of it. The house is lovely and has stunning views. Lucrezia and her family were welcoming and warm. Both her husband and son joined in and helped us both cook and eat which really added to the experience. We all also loved her friendly pets. But truly Lucrezia is the highlight of the experience. She is, in fact, a teacher and it shows. I highly recommend.

Without a doubt, this experience was the highlight of our trip! For my milestone birthday, I had wanted to experience an authentic pasta making class in a local home. Our host Lucrezia welcomed us into her home, and she was such a delight! We learned to make cavatelli, baked anelletti and Tortelli filled with pistachio as well as a ricotta tart for dessert. We enjoyed antipasto and bruschetta in the garden before the meal taking in the incredible view of Mount Etna…..stunning location! The pasta dishes and dessert were absolutely delicious, and we were so happy that we were able to experience the meal with Lucrezia and her family. After the class, Lucrezia sent us detailed instructions so that we could duplicate the recipes once we got home. Her husband also took and sent us wonderful pictures of the day. It was such a wonderful day, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. Thank you Lucrezia for making my birthday so special!

My family had a wonderful time. We had a great time and Lucrezia’s family is lovely. The view of Mount Etna from their terrace is a picture of beauty.

Incredible experience. Moments of pure conviviality; you feel like part of the family from the very first moment. It feels as if you've known Lucrezia for a very long time; the passion she puts into it is contagious. I learned how to make pasta. Thank you so much.

My name is Lucrezia, and cooking is much more than a passion for me — it’s my way of telling stories, preserving traditions, and creating moments of genuine connection. I love welcoming guests with dishes that carry the scent of Sicily, where every recipe holds a memory and every ingredient speaks of my homeland. I carry on my family’s traditions, especially those passed down by my grandmother Santa: from homemade maccheroni with sauce to scacciate, from zeppole to other warm and simple classics of our cuisine. I enjoy taking care of others through food — with attention, love, and that special touch that makes every meal feel like a celebration. In the kitchen, I prepare fresh pasta with passion — such as maccheroni, busiate, and gnocchetti — along with a variety of desserts like tiramisu, Sicilian cannoli, cheesecake, and profiteroles. As for main courses, I often make meat or vegetarian meatballs, involtini, and Sicilian favorites like parmigiana, caponata, and fennel and orange salad.
For me, cooking means welcoming, creating, and sharing.
